    Norpro Decorative Cup Warmer

    • The "hot plate base" is actually pretty wide, plenty of room for even my bigger mugs
    • The deciding factor for this cup warmer was the 3.75" warming plate.
    • The outside of the warmer gets almost as hot as the warming plate
    • Just the right hot plate for candles & hot beverages!
    • My cup stuck to the hot plate and finally dropped on the floor and busted all apart
    • My wife got me a super-expensive smart mug for home, and I bought this for work; this little plate actually works much better
    • The warming plate gets hot
    • I had one of these warmers years ago that had a button switch in the middle of the hot plate
    • The hot plate interior is 3.5 inches and will fit a large mug
    • However, it's important to note that the ceramic surrounding the hot plate also gets VERY hot
    • The old off/on switch was a slider type and was difficult to push, often burning my fingers on the hot plate part as it was right on the edge of the warmer
    • These little warming plates work really well
    • I frequently use large mugs and i found that they fit just fine (4 inch Dia hot plate)
    • Hot plate, housing, and an on/off switch.
    • Now, this is so important that I can't believe makers of these are not required to announce, "WORKS WITH FLAT BOTTOMED CUPS/MUGS ONLY" as a disclaimer or notice for use because, when I went through my cup inventory at work, and at home, NONE are flat-bottomed, and many, in fact, have a bottom arched upward that would never contact the surface of the hot plate area
    • I found mine at Daneer Pottery (tall belly mug) and even that has an almost undetectable concavity to it, it's still a very high quality mug whose base is almost as big as the surface of the hot plate (another plus) but not too big so as to not fit.
    • This one said - 3-1/2" warmer plate - - which would fit all but ONE of my mugs - -
    • It is also higher wattage which equals warmer hot plate.
    • If you like a large mug go fatter, not taller because really it is a simple matter of the area of the mug in contact with the hot plate.
    • Be careful though as the top plate gets very hot
    • So the warming plate gets plenty hot and maybe I just need a mug that conducts heat better like a flat-bottomed mug
    • So this item is an attractive warmer, solidly built, but disappointingly cool unless you have a short, stout vessel that closely matches the size of the warming plate.
    • My large mug measures 4" across and barely fits on the hot plate, in fact the mug touches the ceramic base which makes it a bit slippery being ceramic on ceramic-
    • They can make hot plates well over 1000watts for about the same money as this, glad I bought used; would not buy again.
    • Notes:--The on/off switch is about 1.5 inches from the hot plate, so always in easy reach.--No auto-off feature, so try not to forget about it (worst that happens is all your tea will evaporate
    • A FLAT BOTTOMED CUP has an EFFECTIVE HEAT transfer from hot plate to cup.
    • Also, if coffee spills on the device, it is very hard to clear the area where the warming plate meats the ceramic base.
    • Big warming plate, flexible cord, easy-to-read light, conveniently placed switch, less prone to spillage
    • I was worried my cat, who likes to walk about my desk sometimes, might step on the hot plate
    • this is virtually a miniature hot plate
    • The hot plate part is large enough for my big mug and the unit is attractive and sturdy - it doesn't slide around like others I've had
    • The good: Ceramic housing surrounding the hot plate feels much more durable and safer than the plastic housing of my old one.
    • was worried that the warmer wouldn't keep the coffee hotOR - - the hot plate would be too small for my mugs
    • Center of the unit reaches 245 F.Edges of warmer plate reach 225 F.Outside ceramic of unit reach about 160 F.Will keep about 1/3 a cup of coffee at 140 F after sitting on it for an hour.
    • Top and bottom plates were floating around and heating unit was loose on it's base plate.
    • The warmer gets VERY warm (even the sides & bottom) so I have to put a protective plate underneath when I use it on a wood surface
    • It's a pretty big plate, but I like big mugs, so it doesn't fit the really big ones
    • One small improvement would be welcome -- putting the switch ON the warmer plate area instead of on the cord -- would keep me from brushing my fingers over the hot plate while reaching for the cord on/off switch
    • The base is made from a heavy ceramic, quality bright neon light like we used to have in the 80’s & and it even has a slightly larger Teflon warming plate than my white toastmaster
    • The entire unit got hot instead of just the burner warmer plate
    • Anyway, so apparently this is one, however, that still has some decent wattage, plus it plugs into a regular outlet (not a weenie USB port), has a switch right near the warmer, a light to tell you it's on, and is made of some really premium materials, a hefty ceramic type base and a quality "hot plate" as the warming surface.
    • The problem is my (hard to find) flat bottom ceramic cups stick to the hot plate.
    • The other negative was that the warmer came broken, not thru shipping, but by the screw affixing the ceramic protective plate underneath the unit being over tightened, cracking the plate into 3 pieces around the screw.
    • The hot plate portion of the warmer is 3-3/4" across.
    • The other negative was that the warmer came broken, not thru shipping, but by the screw affixing the ceramic protective plate underneath the unit being over tightened, cracking the plate into 3 pieces around the screw.
    • Cup warmer has a large warming plate for large cups and mugs.
    • Cord is about 2+ feel long, the on/off switch is about two inches from the hot plate for easy on/off.
    • I expected the hot plate to get hot but not the outside or bottom of the unit

    • The surface area of the warming plate is larger than any other mug warmer I have, so that reduces the concentration of heat
    • I'm a very slow tea/coffee drinker, so having this mini hot plate is amazing
    • These little warming plates work really well
    • My husband is always in and out of his office.comes back in and still hot as if it was freshly brewed
    • No it does not keep the coffee as hot as from coffee pot, but for me that is too hot to drink.
    • It doesn't necessarily stay as hot as when I first poured the
    • The beverage gets as hot as if you just made a cup of coffee and let it sit for minute to prevent scalding your tongue, so a great job
    • It actually keeps the coffee as hot as when I poured it out of the big coffee pot
    • makes a significant difference and although not perfect or as hot as those produced years ago, it’s something I will keep
    • More than luke warm but not quite a hot as when it is first poured.
    • Right out of the package, the side is cracked in two places as well as it being chipped
    • It keeps my tea as warm as when I first made it
    • This model worked as it should and is definitely worth the slightly higher price compared to the first two warmers that were totally unsatisfactory
    • Overall I am satisfied as it's the bottom 1/2 cup that gets cold anyway....
