This works great to keep my mug at a perfect drinking temperature (not steaming hot but well above lukewarm).
I find that this warmer works just fine with mugs that have a raised lip around the bottom
This warmer works great to keep your drinks at a comfortable, drinkable temperature
My first warmer stopped working soon after I bought it, then I got this on and IT worked great, then I moved and lost it IN my moved.
It is NOT designed to HEAT UP a cup of COLD coffee, or other liquids and should only be used to KEEP beverages WARM" ; Now that being said, this warmer works just fine
was worried that the warmer wouldn't keep the coffee hotOR - - the hot plate would be too small for my mugs
The entire unit got hot instead of just the burner warmer plate
The outside of the warmer gets almost as hot as the warming plate
Anyway, so apparently this is one, however, that still has some decent wattage, plus it plugs into a regular outlet (not a weenie USB port), has a switch right near the warmer, a light to tell you it's on, and is made of some really premium materials, a hefty ceramic type base and a quality "hot plate" as the warming surface.
The other negative was that the warmer came broken, not thru shipping, but by the screw affixing the ceramic protective plate underneath the unit being over tightened, cracking the plate into 3 pieces around the screw.
This one does not keep my coffee hot enough; it is more like lukewarm.
Not only does it keep my coffee and tea hot, if I let it get cold and then put the mug on the warmer it actually warms it back to hot.
It does get warm underneath the warmer but not dangerously hot.
I don't care much for the weird soap suds looking print, or whatever it was supposed to be lol.. would have preferred it white, or other solid colors even, but that's trivial considering it does what it is supposed to do and does it well
Please don't listen to the negative reviews,,,it does keep your coffee the same from pot to cup.
Keeps your hot liquids at the perfect drinking temperature
Then the deal is close to boiling temperature
As the tea starts to get lower, of course it would be appropriate to remove the cup with little liquid from the warmer to avoid any uncomfortable temperatures
It keeps my coffee hot (drinkable temperature) for HOURS
it will not make cold coffee hot, but it will keep coffee at the perfect drinking temperature if it is fresh
They think it is supposed to warm up their cold beverage
First, that it would have difficulty with different sized cup/mugs, Second, the beverage would get burnt at the bottom if left on too long, and Third, how hot the beverage would get, and Fourth, its stability to remain on a surface without moving
(1) Beverage stays VERY warm--no complaints.
When I am drinking a hot beverage, I like it HOT, not warm and at work it is difficult to drink even 1/2 cup of tea before it cools down.
It keeps my tea pleasantly hot, and it is powerful enough that it will warm a beverage that has cooled off.
It keeps the mug very warm, not hot, but only if you drink it regularly
I've had a cold mug of coffee or tea and warmed it right up with this thing.
Of course, if you have asbestos lips like my mother, who liked her coffee boiling hot, this might not be the mug warmer for you.
The smart mug died after a few months, so I'm going to buy another one of these for use at home.
I was worried based on reviews that it would be too small, wouldn't warm my mug if it had a lip on the bottom like most do, and that it would get too hot for my desktop
This thing actually keeps my slightly larger than normal size cup above warm but not overly hot from start to finish as I sip one full hour watching daily morning News
It should have been a small LED, not this cheap thing.
I was gifted this mug warmer by my girlfriend and the nice thing is it will keep your drink warm, but possibly at the expense of your desk
The whole thing gets hot not just the top where the mug goes, so I have to keep it on a ceramic coaster at all times
This gets hot enough on the surface that I don't want to touch it (which is obviously a good thing.)
With this combination it works well, not quite as hot as I like, but close enough
But, if your coffee is new and hot, and you place it on there then yes, this keeps it pretty hot for as long as u have it plugged in 😊👍
It keeps my coffee hot & I like that the light lets me know if it is on or off (for safety).
The main issue is the odor, once it's ON and got heated a bit, a horrible burning odor emits from the item, covering any other smell in the room, it needs to be turned
While I don't personally recommend doing this (and probably voids any warranty), the issue was the very cheaply made switch.
