Otherwise the noticeable drop in download speed is a big negative

As much as I love all the added security, frequent drops is the ultimate sin for a router

My internet connection drops, the light ring on the router turns orange, and a power-off reboot of the router is required several times a week... never an issue with my old router

The problem is that way too often, the wifi drops off or it gets slow and glitchy

The big issue with Core is the drop in speed when you turn on the security feature in any mode

Bottom line: still evaluating but the drop in download speed is a BIG ISSUE

This is totally unacceptable because when the connection is dropped (often in the middle of the night), my smart home - one of the main reasons for a secure router in the first place - also stops working (i.e., also in the middle of the night.)I’m going to give it a few weeks and see if the issue is resolved by further software updates
