Norton Core Secure WiFi Router, Covers up to 3000 Sq. ft., Smart Security for Network and IoT Devices, Parental Controls, Replaces Router, Works with Amazon Alexa, One-year of Norton Security included

    • Otherwise the noticeable drop in download speed is a big negative
    • As much as I love all the added security, frequent drops is the ultimate sin for a router
    • As much as I love all the added security, frequent drops is the ultimate sin for a router
    • The problem is that way too often, the wifi drops off or it gets slow and glitchy
    • The big issue with Core is the drop in speed when you turn on the security feature in any mode
    • This is totally unacceptable because when the connection is dropped (often in the middle of the night), my smart home - one of the main reasons for a secure router in the first place - also stops working (i.e., also in the middle of the night.)I’m going to give it a few weeks and see if the issue is resolved by further software updates
    • Bottom line: still evaluating but the drop in download speed is a BIG ISSUE
    • My internet connection drops, the light ring on the router turns orange, and a power-off reboot of the router is required several times a week... never an issue with my old router
