Great coverage and security

I have quite a few smart devices ( Amazon Echo dot etc... ) which in itself may not have the best security in place

The only problem with the complimentary Symantec security is they won't add time if you bought it online.

This WiFi Router works in conjunction with your modem and makes security very easy to accomplish

Since, most of our internet use is for trusted sources like Amazon/Apple/Google/Netflix etc and for work via Citrix, for me the added security is not worth the speed sacrifice

It's nice to be able to monitor the network from my phone including how many devices are on the network, the security score, any potential threats and what the speed is at any given time.

You'll never get a clean security score in the described case, so you'll never really have a good threat assessment

I so wanted this to work, I was an early adopter of the idea of smart home security with is the basis of this router

I have been a Norton 360 Premier user, because I like its security, not because I like the speed.

The idea of this router is great, embed security in the router, I even love the antenna being housed/protected inside the plastic sphere, so much could be good if it worked

I haven't had any issues regarding security--but then again I didn't before I plugged my Core in, so who knows?The Parental controls are really pretty simple to set up and is one of the chief reasons why I didn't give this 2 stars instead of 3

Super annoying!To end on a positive note, it greatly simplifies parental controls and seems to offer a good security umbrella for the household.

I understand the concerns raised by others, but this is an excellent router with excellent security capabilities

The one reason I have stayed away from Norton products since the 80`s still hampers them now

It looks kinda cheap and plastic-y, not like a metallic decoration.
