My family recently migrated to the new Verizon Unlimited Plan, and we are exploring options for unplugging from our current ISP (Charter Spectrum, I hate you)
-
Verizon told me it's "pre-owned" devices (might be stolen) which can not be activated
-
verizon said SIM card was stolen
-
so they informed me to send it back as it appears to not be a verizon supported device
-
In lieu of calling Verizon and activating the micro SIM that came pre-installed with the router, I opted to take a nano SIM out of an iPad (also on the unlimited Verizon account), and utilizing a nano to micro SIM adapter, followed others directions on using the T-6 micro driver to remove the screws holding the innards to the case, and voila, it worked perfect on startup
-
Verizon people, although seemingly somewhat disorganized and requiring follow-up, have without exception been great to work with even though I bought the router off Amazon Prime before Verizon made it available again through them and at about 1/4 of the price.
-
Great item for those few people left with Verizon Unlimited accounts.
-
I had hoped that using the sim out of another device and not calling verizon to facilitate the activation would act as a workaround
-
It would be nice if Verizon (or an aftermarket manufacturer) would make available an external antenna that would produce good signal gain.
-
works good but verizon data plan stinks
-
If you have great home cell signal like me on Verizon, it's a great solution, that's the only essential caveat -- make sure you have good to great Verizon signal at your home.
-
Verizon refuses to register it.
-
A must have if you have a Verizon unlimited data plan or don't want satellite internet.
-
Verizon Unlimited!!

I purchased this product to use with a Verizon unlimited data plan.
