Novation Launchkey 49 USB Keyboard Controller for Ableton Live, 49-Note MK2 Version

    • These keys also work very well for legato string work, the sort of stiff feel actually makes controlling key changes easier
    • This keyboard you really have to slam the keys to hit the top velocity (there are settings but haven't messed with them yet)
    • However having an all in one keyboard workstation as your main keys has its advantages
    • Works great with Ableton, keys are a good size and feel, drum pads are good, I highly recommend!
    • I do prefer weighted keys, but I wasn't willing to spend over $200 for yet another keyboard to add to my growing collection.
    • The keys aren't that sensitive to velocities
    • There isn't really soft touch/soft sound, but if you strike the keys more aggressively, you can get a louder
    • the 47 keys is still very compact and functional
    • The keys are a pleasure to play
    • And while none of the faders, buttons or keys felt luxurious, mechanized or very finely weighted and crafted... they didn't feel nearly as cheap as they should for this price

    • The actual keys feel kind of cheap
    • The keys themselves are obviously pretty lightweight, but I don't worry about them lasting
    • Its a good keyboard however I just discovered a faulty key that dissent
    • I was worried that 49 keys would not be enough but is seems like the perfect compromise between size and range
    • The keys are velocity-sensitive with a lot of degrees of sensitivity present
    • The keys are somewhat sensitive to velocity
    • Top C key is warped and does not sit level with other keys.
    • The keys are nice, and while its no real piano it does its job and that's what matters
    • the keys are great, velocity sensitive and a good feel
    • I'd prefer weighted keys rather than the synth action of these, which feel flimsy to me… but, that said, I haven't found a controller that's 49 keys and incorporates true weighted action, so this is perfect for what it is — a compact, incredibly lightweight, USB-powered, desktop and live controller
    • Top C key is warped and does not sit level with other keys.
    • Moreover, although having velocity-sensitive keys is a nice feature, I found that it was a not quite sensitive enough
    • My 49 key is great for it's range of keys without being big enough that it needs dedicated space.- The controller is run with just one cable, so transportation is
