I could see this being a great starting entry-level "high-end" amp and having it so small and non-heat generating is a real bonus

Now a comfortable listening level is about 35 to 45 on the dial as expected

I had a month or so to live with this amp before the TAS review arrived in my mailbox, so I have no problem with going along with Stone's enthusiastic remarks and seconding the motion on his impressions for this amp which won TAS' Entry Level integrated amplifier component award for 2012.It damned well deserved it

For my 675sf apartment a comfortable listening level was obtained at about 25 to 35 on the volume display with vintage 8 ohm JBLs
