I am keeping this tiny little DDA 120 driving 6 feet tall Ambience speakers worth a little less than 10k

Absolutely NO warning of approaching overload / clipping, the amp just shuts off (this is preferable to blowing speakers, but I would have liked to see something like flashing the LED volume display at 85-90% load).- All digital input plus digital amplification means there is no low level analog output (LFE) for a sub woofer.(but any sub with a high level input can be attached to the DDA-100 speaker terminals.)Not really a con so much as a "be aware of

Detailed yet smooth mids and highs and better bass response than I thought these speakers were capable of

just be aware that the best of amps will not perform well thru poor or improper speakers (google Speaker Matching if you don't know what I'm talking about).

When not reproducing music, the speakers are completely silent

One of the main things you need to get the most from this unit are good speaker wires and a good coaxial wire to go from a CD player to the DDA100.

It's a great sounding integrated amp, images very well with good speakers and cables
