    NuTone S97016565 Heating Element for Heater

    • We probably only got to use it 6-8 times until one morning, a week or so ago, I noticed cool air was blowing.
    • After replacing the heating element, I tested the unit, it blow hot air.
    • Element only lasted two months they quit blowing hot air
    • The next morning it I noticed it started blowing cold air.
    • The next we turn it on and no heat is coming from the fan, only cool air.
    • The design of the Nutone unit allows vent air flow to flow backwards through the heater unit when it is not running and the resultant accumulation of dust in the heater unit will slow it's airflow and overheat the heating element causing failure
    • when you only use the exhaust fan it sucks air in through the heater element.
    • We installed this last Friday and today it is already not working, back to blowing cold air
    • So, it still heats, but the air is just warm, instead of hot like it used to be
    • Blows cold air, heater not working.
    • In other words, this heater element is not defective, the fan that blows the air over it is.

    • After about seven years of running like a champ our heater in the bathroom broke and started blowing cold air (just in time for a cold spell that was coming in).
    • Before I replaced this it was just blowing cold cold air
    • At some point, it must have started blowing cold air, but since the bathroom was already warn, I did not notice this.

    • Our blood runs cold (we live in the Northeast where the winters are cold) and we always use our little ceiling heater in the bathroom to warm the room up before showering as well as during showers to stay warm.
