The price of Shield is high to begin with but to eliminate IR control just seems like a poor decision

So the device is now unusable and all of the instructions to try to recover it don't work on this version of the device because of the insane decision to remove its only button

Considering the internal specifications are going to be super powerful for years to come, I don't think you'll regret your decision to try it out!
