THE SETUP WOULD HAVE BEEN HELPFUL.

Even when setup in the same room it will lose communication between the transmitter and receiver intermittently.

But after messing around with Steam in-home streaming and getting fed up with it's cumbersome setup, I decided to take the plunge

The principal setup is fairly straightforward, but if you don't want to keep plugging and unplugging the hdmi cable from the cable box between the TV and the Nyrius transmitter you will need to get an HDMI signal splitter; and two extra cables (one from the splitter to the transmitter, the other from the splitter to the TV)

Shipping was fast and setup was easy.

Unless I'm completely missing something (setup is very simple, so I cannot imagine I am... even had a more tech savvy friend give it a try), the product was defective out of the box

Original setup had transmitter maybe 18 feet away and signal was badly degraded.

The setup is pretty foolproof; the units are small and light and easily stick to the back of a TV (with the enclosed double sided Velcro tape)

On the negative side: there could be some better setup instructions beside the quick start guidelines .
