    • I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an outstanding quality phone adapter.
    • Now if you want get free phone service in USA & Canada from Google Voice VOIP service & use it with OBI then download[...]Moving on, if after following the instructions & you're still not connected then continue reading but only if you are encountering either of these two problems I experienced below
    • Get Obi... have free phone service!
    • The phones are working through Google voice and even have more features than the land line provided.
    • Go to your wireless carrier to request phone number transfer from Vonage.
    • There were no advance messages, the phone simply stopped working properly and when you went to try to figure out what happened, you'd get a notification telling you that you have to pay $10.If that works for them, what next
    • Using this device, you still can't beat the price of the monthly phone bill --- FREE ---
    • The Phone works GREAT!
    • With google voice you have free phone service.
    • Up with two free phone lines for over a year
    • If you researching the secret of truly free phone service, the OBi202 will get you there, don't tell anyone ;)
    • I am a small business owner and this device has helped me simplify my business and personal phone needs along with GV.
    • If you use Google Voice you've basically got a free home phone.
    • Plugged in a phone line to Line 1 (there are 2 phone lines available on this unit).
    • Free phone service, what more can you say.
    • Free home phone feels good
    • However, I understand from my daughter who live in Manhattan, that if you live in a dense, metropolitan area, where everyone is using a lot of internet bandwidth, you should know that your internet connection may not support good phone quality
    • I love the fact that I no longer have a really expensive phone bill each month from the phone company
    • What else is there to say, it's a free phone via Google Voice.
    • I figure, I can always port my one critical phone number out of GV if I have to, even if it costs me $10-$20, but more than likely if Google does decide to charge
    • it's no longer FREE phone service after 6 months time.
    • Best phone service ever.
    • The first phone jack supports two-line phones
    • Highly recommend it to everyone looking cheap or free phone.
    • Have got other models, them are OK and OBi in general OK, while it provides free (almost) phone service
    • Works great and the sound quality is just as good as the phone company.
    • I truly hope Google Voice stays free, and as long as they do, I will continue to use this for free phone service.
    • So far the FREE phone calls are clear and reliable.
    • So nice, no more monthly phone bill
    • I kicked the "smart" phone habit, and expense.
    • Free phone service, cheap optional 911 service.
    • So, if I get a call I can pick it up for free at home or on my (cheap) cell phone on the go.
    • The next step in the total phone # conversion will be to port my Comcast very old phone # used for over 30 years to a T mobile cheap cell phone which cost $1.50 for a GSM sim card and $20 for a cheap BLU brand unlocked GSM phone to port my Comcast land line to the temporary cell phone
    • As long as Google Voice remains free I'll have free phone service for life
    • Works great from Google get a free phone number
    • Someone suggested buying a cheap prepaid phone for this
    • worst, the phone become silent after talking for 10 minutes, even though we can hear people on the other end of the phone keep asking "are you there?", but they can hear our voice?
    • One caveat - if you have cell phone connected to portable phone system, un-pair the cell phone(s) first
    • Yes you now can have a free phone line to your house
    • The actual phone they bought was problematic, but it's not this box's fault.
    • I much prefer this setup over MagicJack, and there's also second phone port available in event I ever need fax again
    • This system using the OBI box and Google voice is probably more complex to setup than other VOIP phone systems like Magic Jack, Vonage, Ooma, etc, but once you buy the $80 box, and the blue tooth adapter for $20 there is zero cost for calls or taxes or fees
    • I can only recommend this to anyone who wants to cut those expensive phone companies and still get all the features they had before
    • The CallCentric account included a free local phone number (you choose the area code, they choose the 7-digit local number)
    • I read about this device and it is a cureall; great phone service, long distance (daily calls to Hawaii) great voice reception.
    • Free phone service is great
    • Free home phone!!
    • Free phone number, free calls from Google Voice and a small investment in the OBI unit will save you substantially in the long run
    • I have signed up with google voice and I have free phone service at the cost of a little box.
    • I redo all the steps again and again and suddenly I realise that the ObiTalk's only have the Power light solid on Geen, the data light blinking and no Phone 1 & 2 lights, that means the box unable to detect my analog phone even I have already hook it up, I try switch Phone 1 to 2 and 2 back to 1, not working.
    • A small investment for FREE phone service is an understatement and, not to mention, the sound quality is perfect!
    • Also, there are no support phone numbers, and I sent 2 prior email support requests which Obihai never responded
    • Connected a Panasonic portable phone system to this
    • and I have two phone number attached to
    • Works just as advertised free home Phone.
    • free phone, as long as Google does not drop support.
    • It is working great so far as a second phone
    • Have had 2 free phone lines for 1 1/2 years
    • Can use any inactive cell phone for 911 service or subscribe to an internet VOIP service that is recommended by Obihai for about $1-$2 month and still have great savings monthly
    • Free phone and fax line
    • You can also have the OBI box also ring your cell phone as well as your hard wired phones in the house or remotely
    • Free phone calls
    • Still this seems to be the best product on the market offering really free phone line with Google.
    • Told my former VoIp company "good-bye", bought this thing, got two Google Voice local #'s (local to my area where I live) using two distinct Gmail addresses and in about five minute time, I had two lines, each one receiving and making phone calls on its respective Google Voice number (in other words, I now have two phone lines, two independent phone numbers, working independently and completely separate from each other)
    • So I also purchased a OBiBT bluetooth USB adapter and used the additional "soft phone" option to make a connection to the cell phone.
    • Very good VoIP phone
    • t use Google Voice for the business fax line, as I pay for a very inexpensive separate phone number
    • RipoffThe device is alright, but without a reasonable phone service what good is it
    • Very simple, very straight forward, and absolutely free phone service.
    • You will not be disappointed purchasing this, and continuing to get free and very reliable phone service thanks to Google and OBI.
    • Attached old phone and works fine.
    • If you port from Tracfone, your account number is the phone's serial number.
    • This is a one time purchase (you will need a compatible phone instrument
    • Free phone
    • Ready to roll with free phone service!- I will post an update to the review if things turn south.
    • I plugged this into the garage and popped the existing home wiring into the jack so that existing home telephone lines work like they did with expensive phone company
    • Free phone through Google Voice.

    • phone quality if very good if plug directly to LAN line
    • Both my Obihai boxes are set up to regular house phones and use a free Google Voice phone number

    • Using a Google Voice account which is currently free, with a few steps, google to find out, I'm' not going to go over it here and you can have free phone service
    • Great IP phone system.
    • Free phone
    • Both the phone and fax work well and the calls are crystal clear
    • I've had Packet 8 and Vonage, which both felt as overpriced as the phone company to me.
    • (Took about a week to do it all)).Anyway, this device really does work, and does provide "Free" phone service (remember, you still need to have Internet service, after all, for any of this to work).
    • Last one lasted four years before my free phone service needed new equipment.
    • Free phone service is always a good thing!
    • Google Voice's free phone service seemed like the answer, since it supports texting, phone calls, and voice mail, but I didn't want to make phone calls through my computer
    • It's not a likely problem to come up, but also consider that when the phone goes dead, the ability to call 911 is also disabled
    • Get free phone call
    • I found the best service provider to be the callcentric free phone number.
    • Th Obihai VoIP phone adapter with router is working as promised and is relatively easy to set up for the Obi phone link
    • I LIKE THE PHONE ADAPTER VERY MUCH
    • After searching, it seemed the cheapest solution was to use Anveo, which has cheap annual phone costs and can port your old number and has 911.
    • I highly recommend this phone adapter.
    • It was a spectacular deal when you had the ability to have an essentially free phone when using Google Voice.
    • Outgoing calls are also done through google voice (or whichever account you select as the primary) meaning you now have completely free phone service
    • The answering machine that is a part of my Cordless landline phone will answer in 2 rings and I can hear them leave a message live and pick up the phone before they hang up if I want to talk to them
    • I will recommend this phone adapter to anyone who wants to get 2 additional phone lines for a one time charge for the OBi202 adapter cost.
    • Ok, I tried my best to provide as much helpful information as I can on my review of this OBi202 device; and I definitely recommend it to all who are searching for free VoIP phone calls.

    • The OBI 202 is still the best deal in town for great phone service, easily controlled by YOU.
    • Very easy little box to setup, I make free phone calls using google voice
    • Also, if someone puts you on hold for a reasonable amount of time, MJ hangs up the phone on you
    • This thing is for people who don't need reliable phone service.
    • I found this to be more reliable than magic jack with better phone quality and no monthly fees (as long as google voice stays free).
    • Having used VOIP for many years now, one thing for certain is, ditch the old regular land line and save some money as well as gain flexibility (follow you routing, IP soft phone access etc) in your call routing
    • Free reliable clear phone calls
    • I bought a cheap unlocked phone for $20 and then bought a prepaid plan from T-mobile for $10
    • It is easy to set up and find service provider for free phone calls in US!
    • I will say that the conversion was a multiple step process that required the purchase of a cheap cell phone to port my land line phone to and then port that phone to GV
    • Now, this is something else...and by that, I'm saying that I finally found a VoIP phone product that I like.
    • Compared to the Ooma this device is superior as it allows up to 4 phone numbers (or 3 and 1 e911 service number) without any additional fees
    • I had the phone ringing my Google Voice number in six.
    • Free phone number, free calls from Google Voice and a small investment in the OBI unit will save you substantially in the long run

    • You can't really complain about a free phone line though.
    • Item worked as advertized combined this with google voice and works great as a home phone.
    • What more could you ask for?I used the Panasonic KX-TG7644M DECT 6.0 set for my phones, as originally I thought I could run it through my existing wires, but why do that when you can just buy cordless phones and not mess with it?In short, you can spend the one time fee of ~$75 + 81c a month for 911, or you can pay another company $20 to $30 per month for the rest of your life.
    • When I hung up the OBi202 phone and stayed on my mobile using Hangouts, I tried to start a new call using the OBi202
    • As long as you make monthly payments every 30 days, they can't "ding" your credit for receiving a late payment of the ETF, AND they can't lock your phone's IMEI number (phone's serial number/internal ID) so that it can't be used on another carrier
    • For example, I didn't know that I had to select a "soft phone" get a integrated connection to my cell phone.
    • I also used Callcentric with a free phone #
    • Thank you so much for making a product that makes it so easy for us to have free phone service.
    • The number cannot be the same phone number used to verify any other GV account.
    • Oh, and I also love paying about 1/10 as much for good VOIP phone service as I used to pay for PSTN service.
    • so I can get free/cheap phone service
    • This makers (OBIHAI) assume you have a touchtone phone available
    • FYI...obitalk has specific instructions on how to use their devices with google voice, to make and receive free phone calls, so what I and others are doing appears to be supported and marketed by obitalk
    • My mom is not very technical... she can use her Android smart phone and Netflix on her Roku, and though she is not very adept with her laptop or tablet.. she can answer the question "is the blue light on the router
    • I would not suggest buying or using this unless have a backup phone service available to use if the product is defective.
    • You must have at least ONE call forwarded to the IPKall number during each 30 day period---otherwise, you may lose the IPKall number on Day 31, because it goes back into 'the system' as an available phone number for new users.
    • Fantastic option for cheap phone
    • Then Came to the google shut down scare (people wanted too much from google for a free phone service when they decide to work on their servers one night and the service was down)

    • Free local and long distance phone calls.
    • This is a very reliable 2-phone line adapter.

    • So far this is doing exactly what I hoped it would: we have successfully set this up with a cheap phone and google voice, and we have been able to receive calls and make outgoing calls as if this were a landline (although we have not yet set up any 9-1-1 service).
    • What a relief to have a 'home' phone again!
    • Everything went smoothly and quickly, and I was able to add free VOlp phone--as well as 911 emergency service for $12/year--and had all handsets running perfectly last night
    • I would recommend this for anyone that is looking get VoIP phone service and cut the cord on expensive phone lines.
    • The voice quality is still excellent with hard wired phone base (which supports 4 wireless phones) connected directly to the OBi202.
    • The cost of this device will be nominal when you see that you can have up to 4 free phone lines without having to pay a dime
    • So your IPAD uses the OBI box as a re-dialer for free phone calls from anywhere in the world you have wifi access, with no need for a cell phone service
    • What's not to like about free phone service
    • Voice quality, to me, sounds better than my Time Warner cable phone that we had in the house (so far with limited use).Altogether, certainly worth buying and using
    • I have google Voice home phone now and we bought the e-911 service that is recommended.
    • so all troubleshooting must by waiting for the appropriate e-mails.
    • After a few hours on with Phone Power support, and marginal e-mail support from ObiHai, I have concluded there is not a solution, and have canceled my nascent Phone Power account
