Obihai tech support is superb, extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient

The tech support people have been very very helpful.

But if you are someone that needs handholding by tech support rather than Google Search to figure things out, this phone may present some challenges for more complex functions

The phone was specifically listed in their supported devices, but their tech support claimed that it would only function using "unsupported methods" without even bothering to research it

It is impressive that the Obi1022 connects to google voice so easily but when you call tech support you do not get openly snotty kids who sneer at your inability with expert configuration, however it DOES seem as if you are getting people who are ALMOST openly snotty and contemptuous of your inability to configure their device.

Tech support is an online knowledge base that is frustrating to use at times but is a good resource for simple issues

I talked with their tech support and they confirmed this

Tech support is not real time--you send an email to tech support and if they feel like it they respond.

Sent tech support an email, not expecting an answer before Tuesday after the holiday, and not only did they respond, they fixed it for me, auto upgrading my firmware.

After it didn't work using that setting their tech support person emailed me and told me to use the setting in the manual, which had not worked although I tried it (and by the way I explained that fact in my email requesting help).

If you're not a network engineer, you'll need to contact their tech support department, who will send you more instructions... that will be missing a step, too
