Oculus Go Standalone Virtual Reality Headset - 32GB

    • Although the prices seem similar, when factoring in the cost of a computer that has high enough specs to run it, the Rift is a much more expensive device
    • This is a minor concern but wished the device was ready to go out of the box also the sync with phone might be an issue for some depending on phone, no tech is perfect in that respect
    • so far oculus go is the best 360 vr device that is under $200
    • These factors result in some eye strain after using the device for more than an hour, and this in turn means that in my opinion this is not a great device for 2D media consumption (movies, photos etc) but only for media that takes advantage of VR (360 movies etc)
    • Great device, mostly aimed at Apple users that does not want to get a Samsung VR device or a Google Daydream; and are waiting for Apple to make a VR headset, instead of buying one of the devices already out there
    • Great device
    • Now a month later I can say this is a great device and the experience far exceeds my expectations
    • but the device get hot, and you loose freedom of movement
    • I purchased the device knowing the limitations already
    • BUT this is supposed to be a portable device, take it on the
    • I thoroughly enjoy the device
    • What makes this such a revolutionary device is that it's the first VR headset that is convincing but that is a completely self-contained platform
    • I love both devices but for different reasons
    • I'm honestly amazed they were able to cram all of this into a compact device!
    • I was expecting this device to be great for media consumption (Netflix etc) as many reviewers claimed this
    • Otherwise enjoy the device for what it is: a cheap device to get in the VR world and watch movies or share your virtual presence on social with friends
    • Otherwise enjoy the device for what it is: a cheap device to get in the VR world and watch movies or share your virtual presence on social with friends
    • Other than these negatives listed, it is a very well built device and I'm satisfied with the VR experience so far
    • So yes by this and you will love it, I still love my go, which is the 32gb version, but use it within its limits, it a a very fun cool device and my 3 stars are due to its serious short comings, only, so pointing these out as no one seems to address it.
    • but the device get hot, and you loose freedom of movement
    • This device is more a fun "3D/VR Experience" but mainly a nice multimedia portable device
    • This device is amazing and everyone should give it a chance
    • Conclusion: An excellent device for anybody with an interest in VR that doesn't want wires or to spend lots of money
    • When I do get a reply, I follow their instructions to the letter, and still, this costly device shuts off within seconds.
    • So minus 1 star for comfort and straps ... otherwise a great device and a must buy
    • Watching my media, Netflix and Hulu with the Go is where it outperforms all the high end devices.
    • In the end, it is a great device for social activities, great entry level device for trying VR, but disappointing as gaming device
    • This is my most favorite electronics device ever purchased.
    • Amazing device and so easy I just throw on after work
    • has definitely fine tuned this device, its speed and SLIGHTLY better picture aren't worth the extra $100 compared to a Gear VR
    • In the end, it is a great device for social activities, great entry level device for trying VR, but disappointing as gaming device
    • I wanted to love this device, but I'm actually kinda bummed
    • Fun games also (I like Dead and Buried) but not quite as immersive as the computer tethered headsets.
    • The positives - I always read that there aren't enough good apps, and to a great extent it is true, but despite of that some of the available apps are really nice and fun to have e.g. racket fury, ultrawing, swat academy...etc
