You can only use the Gear for so long until your phone gets hot and if you use it for Ride Social or VirZoom

Lenovo Mirage (2* the price), Gear VR (broke my phone), and Google Daydream (haven't tried it?).

I loved the Gear VR but between the screen fog, visible debris from your phone screen and the overheating issue, Gear VR became something I could use 10-15 minute at a time.

Once you have it set up (which requires downloading an app on a smart phone) it is pretty much put it on and you are ready to go

I enjoyed it, but often when doing a long session the screen would go black and a message would pop up saying that the phone needed to cool down.

The big seller for me was the fact that you don't need a computer or a console to run it, just a smart phone and that is only for the initial set up
