Oculus Go Standalone Virtual Reality Headset - 64GB

    • It feels like a novelty device overall - the games are fun for a bit, and hold up well next to many mobile games, but a PC or console game will generally provide more fun for a longer time.
    • Kids enjoying the different apps and games
    • The resolution on the device is better than the oculus rift, and many games and apps on it
    • For that matter there is a myriad of free games if that is what you seek
    • Oculus, if you are listening you should update the device to allow the use to two controllers so we can play games like beat saber (or a reasonable rip off).
    • Now, the top-rated games can be up to $12-$15 and that's hard to deal
    • This is amazing and truly eye opening for where the future of human computer interaction is headed.$249 is a great price for a superior quality device with a starting library of many awesome games
    • The best would be if someone could port an AA game to it, like a graphically reduced Skyrim or something or even just add multiplayer to Base Blitz, or some way to run Oculus compatible games on it.....
    • Even with graphics from the PS2 era, the games are still fun and engaging
    • The games are amazing
    • Even if you didn't want to pay for additional games right away, the available free games give you plenty of opportunity to enjoy the headset.
    • The built in 64GB memory allows you to store your favorite games or videos7
    • I bought this headset hoping that I'd be able to have access to all the games and apps that VR offers (sans the most hardware intensive, like SteamVR), but instead I'm left with cheesy games and entertainment apps that seem to be designed just to show off the hardware capabilities of the Go.
    • I think that with the 3DOF, this will probably be best used as a media consumption device, but I’m still finding some games to be quite fun.
    • so I can once again escape into all the cool games and apps I have
    • It will require better games and true HD experience before it blasts off .This is the future direction of gaming ,but maybe 5 more
    • After watching nearly every Youtube review of the device and all the 'best games" - remember these are guys who just speak from some vague stuff they've online
    • I only downloaded all free games/apps, will start buying games soon to experience deep VR experience!Recommend anyone who is keen in VR to buy Oculus Go instead of Rift/Vive/PSVR because it is so easy to set up (mine takes 20 minutes) and start enjoying VR content
    • For Games:At first, it’s easy to think that there aren’t many good games since many of the ones on here, or close to all, are games you may not have heard of before
    • Apps n games are good and I'm sure there's a ton of new stuff in the pipeline
    • Criticisms as a fairly devoted tinkerer and gamer, which shouldn't be knocks against the device itself (because it does exactly what it states it will in all advertising)
    • The games are pretty good but since you can’t walk naturally, first person shooters are better in my opinion
    • Super cool, but there are not that many good games yet
    • I started playing some games as well, and am really enjoying the VR experience.
    • I got a little motion sick with Blade Runner, which is less of a game than a ride, the roller coasters were cool but also motion sick, but the other games, like Dead and Buried and Dead Horizon (which I bought and I'm happy with it), were fun.
    • Many games are free.
    • Name a genre, and Go has at least 1 amazing game for it
    • The verdict is still out on the available games and future releases, but super happy with this so far!
    • The Go does work with a game pad which you can also get and some of the more capable video games work better with the game pad than the supplied controller
    • Easy setup - great wow factor-plenty of inexpensive games, media, and demos (many free).
    • There's a couple decent games on it but besides that it doesn't have much use
    • The VR worlds, 3D surround videos, "Wander" (ability to go most anywhere in the world and see it in 360 degree view), educational potential for children, virtual reality social worlds (Vtime, Altspace, Oculus Rooms, Oculus Venues, etc.), even invite friends from Facebook to join you in a room to watch movies, play games, hang out and have fun...
    • Dead and Bury game (free), so damn fun
    • The games and apps available are the same basic games and apps available on the Play Store
    • Anyways, there are fantastic games for this
    • It *is* possible to launch some third-party APK apps into the "Unknown Sources" section of the Oculus TV app, however the app itself doesn't offer gamepad support so you can't project games onto the big screen without streaming from another device (like a PC with a gamepad) and that limits range.*I wish it had options to expand to dual-handed controllers and that more gamepad accessories were supported, but it's understandably targeted for new VR users and on-the-go VR users
    • There are about 1000 different apps/games available, so there's a lot to keep you
    • I enjoy a handful of the games, notably Defense Grid 2, EVE Gunjack, Bigscreen, UltraWings, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (perfect party game), and Settlers of Cataan VR.It's worth noting that as a VR nerd, I also own and use the Vive, the Rift, and a Dell (Windows Mixed Reality) set; but I use the Go more than any of the others, because the more sophisticated headsets require an *infrastructure* - it just seems like more of a commitment to get into Steam VR, and gather all of the stuff to make it happen
    • I use this for watching Netflix and some cool games
    • Tons of fun apps and games
    • Waiting for better games and experiences, otherwise will wait for the next version...but this was really cool.
    • Another amazing thing is that if you don’t like a game, you can return the game
    • but I actually enjoy the games
    • There are free downloadable apps to access video and music content as well as games, and (unsurprising as this is a facebook device,) social media.
    • The minimalist design actually works in the users favor as its unobtrusive, light, and with wonderful clarity
    • Oculus would not honor a replacement as they said i took the device out of the US.
