The last "VR" headset I bought was a cheap plastic case for Google Cardboard and it was horrible

Construction is mostly hard plastic but the front (where the components most likely are) is a heatsink metal.

Foam insert is easy to remove and can be washed if you don't like the new "plastic"

If your cheeks start to hurt after a while, try tilting the sides where the straps are on the hard plastic pieces up while keeping the headset level

The minimalist design actually works in the users favor as its unobtrusive, light, and with wonderful clarity

Oculus would not honor a replacement as they said i took the device out of the US.
