Oculus Rift - Virtual Reality Headset

    • Some gauges in DCS and Project Cars are difficult to read, this being the main area to improve in VR at this time (same issue with Vive).
    • After all the constant communication with Oculus to try to rectify the issues, we now found that we ran out of time to return or exchange it from Amazon.
    • Plus my unit seemed to have a intermittent hdmi issue.
    • The Rift posed another issue for spectacle wearers like me.
    • The only flaws are that the games you play feel low resolution compared to what you are used to, and the lenses have an issue where bright colors on dark backgrounds send light rays, sort of like when the sun pokes rays through the clouds
    • Oh Also I haven't had any issues getting sick or nauseous from the games I have either.
    • After 1 year all three are having issues and falling apart
    • Glare was also an issue
    • My ONLY real negative issue with the Rift is that it does not really allow for full 360-degree gaming
    • There are no tracking problems unless you are out of the cameras view, vive has the same issue with there beacons, if the sensors are obscured from view they will lose tracking, doesn't matter which headset you own.
    • Oculus like a 15 dollar Google Cardboard due to its limited functionalities to at least watch "VR" movies or landscapes; the Oculus software has a habit of downloading updates in the background, taking up tremendous bandwidth when it wants to, where it wants to, with no option for you to schedule said unknown patch contents; it was one of these updates that "broke" my software, where the software suddenly came up with a warning "You cannot enter VR due to an unresolved hardware issue", only I went into settings, and all hardware indicators are green, and even my Nvidia drivers were up to date and functional
    • The only other annoying issue with this headset is the extremely strict USB 3.0 requirement
    • Any issues are typically replied to with "Thanks for your input sorry things aren't working out for you
