    • Do yourselves a favor; just use Windows 10 without registering it, or buy a cheap CD key on the internet.
    • When it finished installing, it said I had an invalid CD key and my entire system was paralyzed
    • I contacted Microsoft asking them what the error was for and they said that the key was error
    • Overall, if you don't want to risk a headache from buying cheap keys from sketchy sites that might not work, then go ahead and buy this
    • so it doesn't work , wrong key, thought it worked, activate windows keeps coming up
    • Worked fine just not the product key.
    • Like many of the commenters below, the software didn't accept the key, and I began to feel like I got a bad product.
    • The product key on the envelope did not work.
    • I used a coin and actually scratched away the key itself
    • Maybe MS thinks everyone will know to treat the CD cover slip like a scratch-off lottery ticket in order to find the product key, but I find the total lack of instructions for finding the key in the purchased package and the incorrect information posted on the MS website to be unacceptable.
    • ITS A SCAM!!!!!!!!I was sold a fake Product key with item
    • Legit key, worked great.
    • I scratch and sniff open the Product Key while using a USB loaded with the MS download of Win 10 as my initial install."INVALID ACTIVATION CODE".
    • I was wary at first after seeing all the other reviews claiming they received invalid keys but figured Amazon's customer support would cover me, if needed
    • I was still pretty frustrated by this, though, because a sealed copy of windows should have a good product key in it
    • Not an error on my part reading the key
    • With the code being located right on the cover, the probability of getting a copy with a stolen key is unacceptably high
    • Be careful when scratching off the security strip on this item, the first time I did this it took off the product key with it
    • Which means when the sticker is removed it obliterates the key
    • They're just telling me to buy a genuine key for $120
    • I simply scratched off the key, and entered it into the windows install screen
    • Microsoft said this key will eventually stop working as it's meant to only be used temporarily
    • Well on the front of that one, there's a scratch off section where you recover your Windows 10 Home license key after scratching off and removing the silver coating much like a lottery scratch ticket
    • This is the vendors fault for selling already used keys.
    • Microsoft support claimed that the key had "exceeded the maximum number of activation's" but they decided to activate it anyway.
    • For under $100 you get an official copy of Windows 10 Home with a genuine license key from Microsoft
    • Windows 10 installed properly on my new PC, but I could not activate Windows because of the faulty key
    • Then you might end up, scratching too deep where you'll end up removing the actual paperboard underneath which will damage the license key that's printed on removing it completely
