(OLD MODEL) Seagate Central 4TB Personal Cloud Storage NAS STCG4000100

    • Even when recognized, I would lose connection often and had to do several resets before it actually stayed connected
    • Works fine on Seagate Central Remote Access (webpage) though which means the connection is good
    • Connection issues so bad it is just a paperweight at this point
    • Connection issues so bad it is just a paperweight at this point
    • It constantly loses connection the network.
    • Also, if your TV is not wireless or wired Ethernet connection capable, you will NOT be streaming anything to it
    • Wireless connection to my sony blue-ray was no problem
    • I very rarely am able to access this drive for more than 10-20 minutes when transferring files from these devices before I lose the connection, and I am accessing the drive from no more than 15 feet away.
    • , it never looses connection and my files are always there when I need them
    • Wireless connections are typically slower than wired connections, and some wired connections only offer 10/100 Mbps speed, not the preferred 1000 Mbps
    • I will admit that transfer speeds can be higher but for the price you will not get anything better, or at least well rounded (to my knowledge anyway).I suggest getting something like TerraCopy to manage your files while transferring so you can pause it to free up your system if needed and also incase you loose connection it will pick up where it left off
    • Unfortunately, this device is S-L-O-W, as in REALLY SLOW
    • n’t loose on it.
    • With the first failure I lost 2plus T of data that I can not replace
