But this 45mm f1.8 is amazing for it's size, weight and affordability
-
The 75mm is hands down the better
-
To be fair, the 45mm is half the price, but I still wish that it had the look, feel, and build of the gorgeous 12mm
-
Goodbye 8 or more pounds of heavy DSLR.Thanks, Olympus, for making hiking, biking, just about anything and photography more compatible with the amazing OMD and this 45mm.
-
Newer 50mm lenses, like the Nikon 50/1.8G (220) and Sony E-Mount 50/1.8 (300) are not considerably cheaper
-
Only available in silver colorDetailed Review:The Olympus 45mm is one of the best reviewed lenses for the Micro Four Third systems.
-
Made me regret that I got the 25mm before the 45mm... because the 25mm is more expensive when just launched
-
85mm f1.8 launched yesterday was inspired by this lens too
-
I own the Olympus 45mm f1.8 and the 25mm seemed almost redundant.
-
Well, it's 45mm, and it's f/1.8, a combination which allows you to generate some serious subject isolation with its relatively shallow depth of field
-
I just wish the 12mm were priced this well, I would have purchased it too.
-
Olympus 45mm - performs incredibly well under all aperture settings
-
The 45mm also has more versatility
-
For me, the 45mm f1.8 is great for both portraits and all around shooting.
-
The 25mm would still be useful if I wish to take slightly wider or closer shots
-
45mm f/1.8 clearly outperformed the Nikon f/1.4 at the lower apertures
-
The bokeh is definitely not as good as the 85mm I had, but for the size who can complain? The only reason it took me this long to get this lens is because it was originally released in silver body only, which I don't really like the look on my black camera body.

This is a superb M 4/3 lens
