    One of the Boys

    • The silly lyrics for the most part doesn't bother me but they do get on my nerves on songs like "Ur So Gay" and "I Kissed a Girl" (which has outstayed its welcome in pop culture IMO)
    • The lyrics, though sometimes gauche, are funny, witty, and often heartfelt (and, even when not, they still tell an entertaining story - how can you resist an album where the second line is "I can belch the alphabet, just double dog dare me")?).
    • It has a cool hip-hop beat and funny yet meaningful lyrics, and Katy wins a billion points for her effort
    • These lyrics from "If You Can Afford Me" may be the most offensive here
    • I got it thinking it would have one or two songs I liked, but the entire album is really well done, with catchy lyrics and melodies.
    • If You Can Afford Me: The lyrics are good and bad at the same time but her singing voice is decent on this song, which is a plus
    • Weird lyrics
    • Because her lyrics are crisp, witty, & genuine, the music bright & foot-tapping memorable, and the studio production masterful
    • Thinking Of You: I love the lyrics of this song, even though I don't like how it's about her cheating on her boyfriend with another guy
    • The music accompaning those lyrics is great too
    • This is definitely a well thrown out there album composed of great lyrics and a very powerful voice from katy
    • I like her honest lyrics and 80's style beats.
    • Mannequin comes after, which has a good instrumental but the lyrics aren't the best
    • One of my favorites, it's a calming and peaceful song and the lyrics are awesome
    • It showcases Katy perry's vocal talents and has nice lyrics."I kissed a girl" is another one of her catchy songs
    • Noisiy guitar riffs, loud vocals, risky lyrics and cheesy slow ballads made this album just perfect for lost teenagers who are looking for a new Avril Lavinge to follow
    • I think the lyrics are just beautiful, now this is what I call "creativity" 5/55
    • Sexual experimentation is okay, but her lyrics in the song make her sound insecure and as if she's done someone wrong by doing that.
    • The music is pretty good and her lyrics are decent as well
    • an an 80s fan). The lyrics are hysterical; she's very good at telling stories, and even though you might be tempted to think she is exagerating, I could relate to a lot of the scenarios she describes
    • They sound far too safe for an artist that has the ability to pen some great lyrics and match it to a unique and fun beat
    • I enjoy the frequently played songs afore-mentioned, and I enjoy her lyrics, but overall, nothing I would be playing over and over.
    • And if you don't like the lyrics then don't listen to the song, it's that simple
    • A lot artists these days don't concentrate on having great lyrics anymore, especially young female artists who often rely on their looks and image created by their marketing company to sell albums rather than on the quality of the songs.
    • Great lyrics
    • The album's tongue-in-cheek and sometimes controversial lyrics give it a unique touch among countless teen pop and bubblegum-flavored albums, which are essentially a dime a dozen in today's modern pop world
    • i really do love this girl , her lyrics are catchy and her music is memorable and fun
    • Her lyrics definitely don't sound like some of the recycled themes playing on the radio all the time
    • My favs of course are "I Kissed a Girl" with it's driving beat & haughty lyrics
    • Catchy songs, great face, cheeky lyrics.
    • it's clever quick fire lyrics sung with emotional exapseration ...
    • You Can Afford MeSelf InflictedMost of the songs just have some catchy lyrics
    • It has a cool hip-hop beat and funny yet meaningful lyrics, and Katy wins a billion points for her effort
    • , sometimes she feels like "one of the boys", and "ur so gay" and "hot n cold" depict her boyfriend has having some confusion of his own {PMS, indeed}. The lyrics, though are clean
    • The silly lyrics for the most part doesn't bother me but they do get on my nerves on songs like "Ur So Gay" and "I Kissed a Girl" (which has outstayed its welcome in pop culture IMO)
    • Thinking Of You: I love the lyrics of this song, even though I don't like how it's about her cheating on her boyfriend with another guy
    • Ur So Gay 8.5/10-Dumb lyrics
    • Good lyrics, catchy beat, and gotta love her voice.- 'Thinking of You' is another single, but I felt that it doesn't quite fit into the same category as her other singles before this
    • The song is very catchy with some funny lyrics, although unfortunately a couple get blanked out even though this said nothing about being edited
    • If you can't sing and you don't have something important to say, than I ain't buying it - LITERALLY.It's clear Perry needs some serious help with songwriting when she's coming up with embarrassingly awful lyrics like
    • - She released this song a while ago on the internet exclusively, and I have to the say that the lyrics are just...clever!
    • I probably well get tired of them after a while, but good enough for running
    • It's grooving and infectious and a heap of spoofs popping up on YouTube including the inevitable I
    • This c-d is the best
    • C-Lost: Another bright moment of genuine emotion from Katy
