    One of the Boys

    • While somewhat catchy, the hyper-produced songs have a familiar radio-ready quality that becomes infuriatingly mind-numbing over time, and Perry's vocals sound like a less-soulful Kelly Clarkson at best, a drunken, spurned sorority girl at worst
    • Former Christian artist Katy Hudson teams with big-name producers/writers to release an album so unoriginal and pandering it dulls the mind
    • As a result, the album fails to make a grand impression on a more discerning listener and is primarily aimed at teenaged consumers, a demographic whose musical tastes are inconstant and often lesser-minded.
    • I probably well get tired of them after a while, but good enough for running
    • It's grooving and infectious and a heap of spoofs popping up on YouTube including the inevitable I
    • Whereas a song on Morissette's new album is titled "In Praise of the Vulnerable Man," Perry wields the proverbial ax at men in many of her songs such as "Hot 'N
    • I am way too old to be liking music found on "One Of The Boys", but try as I might, I could not tear myself away from "I Kissed A Girl" and it's catchy melody, nor could I do the same with "Hot N Cold"
    • She then ditched the predicted "one-hit wonder" status by cranking out a few more hits, such as "Hot N Cold" and "Waking Up in Vegas"
    • I Kissed A Girl,Waking Up In Vegas,and Hot N Cold are immediate stand-outs
    • "Mannequin" decries an emotionally numb man and "Ur So Gay" is an insult to the ears (not to mention offensive to homosexuals for the misuse of the word "gay" - there are now commercials that denounce people as rude and stupid for using the word "gay" to describe something)."Hot N'
    • Hot N Cold
    • Hot N Cold
    • Very satisfying tone, love hot n cold
    • No Doubt while "Hot N Cold" and "Mannequin" keep the fun-loving spirit of the Bangles and Cyndi Lauper alive. "
    • Some songs are fun like "I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot n Cold", while others are more on the serious side "Thinking of You" and "I'm Still Breathing" (my personal fave)
    • This consistent wailing of hers can grate the nerves, as can the stale instrumentation in each track (with the exception of "I Kissed A Girl" and "Hot n' Cold").
    • The second disc contains 4 remixes of "I Kissed A Girl" on side one and 4 remixes of "Hot N Cold" on side two
    • Hot N Cold, the best song on the album, is pop perfection
    • There are no good songs (except Hot N Cold) at all
    • Nonetheless, 'One of the Boys' places Katy in front of today's modern up-and-coming female solo artists such as Colbie Caillat and Sara Bareilles because the album has serious tracks (including standout "Thinking of You') and fun, upbeat tracks ("Hot N Cold"
    • Hot N' Cold: This song is probably the most pop-ish song out of all the songs on this album
    • Hot n Cold" has an infectious hook, where Perry sweetly claims that her man's ways are a case of "love bipolar.
    • Hot n Cold" is another mold-breaker though, reminding me very much of an early '80s sound with a more modern twist to some of the vocals
    • This album goes from the dynamic pop of One of The Boys to the dancing electro of I Kissed A Girl and Hot `n' Cold
    • Hot n Cold", "Thinking of You", and "Waking up in Vegas" were also hit singles
    • Hot N Cold, Lost, I'm Still Breathing
    • The Bright-Red vinyl is the whole album and the Bright-Yellow one is the Remix Album - it contains remixes of "I Kissed A Girl" & "Hot N Cold".For vinyl collectors, and of course for Katy Perry's fans, this is a true piece of memorabilia!
    • The singles 'I Kissed a Girl,' 'Hot N Cold', 'Ur So Gay', and 'Thinking Of You' are all killer tracks from this album, if not among the best.
    • For downtrought, we have 'Thinking of You' and 'I'm Still Breathing' (which is a song that usually gets me through my days), and for rocking songs we have 'Hot N Cold' and 'I Kissed a Girl'
    • There are no good songs (except Hot N Cold) at all
    • Some songs are fun like "I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot n Cold", while others are more on the serious side "Thinking of You" and "I'm Still Breathing" (my personal fave)
    • And obviously 'I Kissed A Girl' and 'Hot N Cold
    • Hot n' cold: 1000000000/10 demands to be a single as well, she just delivers the message of the song sooo well, and describes ups and downs in a relationship as well as to the point of contrasting it with bipolar disorder
    • Hot N Cold' is co-written by Max Martin, who is always churning out pop hits with popular singers out there (Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, etc), but it seems like her music is in a category of pop all itself
    • I originally purchased this for the catchy "Hot n Cold" & also for the testosterone appeal of "I kissed a girl" but found it to be a decent cd overall
    • Ur So Gay, and Hot n Cold
    • She's a spokeswoman, a goddess, a ham -- see the very funny video for "Hot N Cold."
    • Ur So Gay”, and the playful frustrations of non-committal relationships in her other popular song “Hot n Cold”
    • The few songs here that show promise are the playful, erotic kitsch of "I Kissed A Girl" as well as "Hot N' Cold", both of them written and produced by the same people
    • I Kissed a Girl,' 'Hot N Cold', or 'Ur So Gay', and have loved them
    • With Hot N Cold, I hear a strange ABBA and E.L.O. sound to it, with the bass and keyboards/piano thumping
    • I've never been crazy about "Hot n Cold"
    • She then ditched the predicted "one-hit wonder" status by cranking out a few more hits, such as "Hot N Cold" and "Waking Up in Vegas"
    • Ur so gay and Hot n Cold"
    • I like "Hot n Cold", "I Kissed A Girl"
    • Just love to chorus Hot N Cold in the car
    • Hot N
    • Hot N Cold8
    • My all time fave is Hot N Cold
    • And (2 me) the best song-Hot N' Cold 10/10 Indescribeable
    • Nearly every song is great, but Hot N Cold is still the best.
