    Ooma HD2 Handset

    • Maybe bad batteries.
    • Purchased 08/15, ringer stopped working and battery indicator mal-functioned
    • Horrendous battery life as other reviewers have mentioned.
    • I couldn't bring myself to go through the hassle of returning the whole thing because of bad batteries
    • Very poor battery life
    • The phone could be slightly improved as the volume button is not easy to push for big fingers and then menu options aren't super easy to get through, however, the phone easily pairs with the base, has great battery life and syncs contacts with ooma.comThe phone pairs so easily and has a few cool
    • I asked why they couldn't just send new batteries ans they explained that the issue might not be the batteries but rather the charging circuit in the phones, so they needed the entire units with bases returned for testing
    • This handset seems to have good battery life
    • The other problem I have had with two phones is with a new battery, the batteries will overheat and leak and that screws up the phone
    • I love the features, dual lines, ease of use and excellent battery life.
    • and I think they are higher quality than the junky batteries supplied with the phone
    • battery goes bad too fast
    • I had to first check the power supply for voltage, then check the contacts in the cradle with a Volt Meter and finally insert some spare charged batteries before I realized the batteries in the phone were dead.
    • One came with defective batteries (replaced with another set of NIMH and fine now
    • The handset if bigger than some but uses two rechargeable AA batteries, so you don't have to hunt for some weird battery if you have to replace them.
    • Uses 2 regular AA size batteries (came with 2 NiMH), I'm tired of paying for expensive replacement batteries
    • This is the biggest pos cordless I have ever used, battery last for 15 mins of talk time at best and there is no warning when battery is going dead so in middle of conversation just drops call and goes dead.
    • It is literally impossible with this handset because of its rounded shape.• Poor battery life
    • I replaced the batteries with Energizer Rechargable batteries and after 2 days the batteries are draining and not recharging
    • Great battery life.
    • The unit drains the batteries within 12 hours just being on standby with the display off / or after 1 hour of talking
    • My guess is the batteries might be bad
    • but the batteries leaking almost
    • -DND (Do not disturb feature)CONS:-Short battery life - The batteries would only hold a charge for 30-60mins talk time, so I ended up using commercial rechargeable batteries-The navigation buttons (left/right/up/down) are very slim.
    • Good sound quality, decent battery life, UI not the best I've seen but workable
    • No fancy specialty batteries
    • Battery dies quick
    • I think the first phone came with bad batteries
    • At first I thought the batteries might be leaking
    • I really like the new handsets, they work really well and the battery last long time, but they unfortunately killed my other three Ooma ones, because I wasn't told it was going to happen

    • and I want to cash in by switching this for a model that works as it should.
    • the hd2 handset works very well, and syncs well with the ooma device, as well as with the telo wireless adapter.
    • otherwise it would hit the garbage can as fast as you can say "goodby".
    • Works as it should.
    • In about 15-30 minutes, my contacts appeared on the HD2 handset, and they do work as they should
    • The call quality is just as good as with the original ooma handset - some others here have complained that the new-ish handset isn't really a quality call experience, but I believe this depends on where your telo device is in your home
    • The back is also scratched as if someone tried to reopen it after glueing it shut.
    • The phone looks good, feels good (as in size to hold in your hand while talking pervs)
