    • I had to return both the handset and the Ooma system due to poor call quality and inconsistency (in calls and connectivity)
    • Not the best quality build and there should be a VOLUME control on the side of the handset

    • Sound quality is awful!
    • The sound quality is not that great
    • The sound quality is worse than my Panasonic set plus the fact the design of the handset will not allow it to stand upright for speaker phone operations.
    • It's ok, but the sound quality is not great
    • I am having very poor sound quality and would like to return the units but no longer have the boxes or packaging

    • This extra phone has a lot of features and the sound quality is great.
    • Stay away from buying these cheaply made cordless handsets for your Ooma phone as the sound quality on speaker phone is poor and the rechargeable batteries die frequently
    • Sound quality is great
    • it's ridiculous, and its the quality of the phone speakers, not the signal.
    • I purchased Ooma to escape ATT service (or lack thereof). The sound quality is very good, as good as my old landline
    • Regarding the voice quality, Ooma definitely advertises superior voice quality of the H2
    • I previously had old-style 900 MHz (FM analog radio) cordless phones which had poor range and marginal voice quality, so when I got an Ooma Telo, I decided to replace them because the HD2 handsets using the latest DECT radios seemed to have better range based on other reviews and based on explanation of DECT in Wikipedia

    • The sound quality is excellent and the features easy to access
    • I have had other phones - Motorola phones as a discount from Vonage which were great - and Panasonic phones - liked them both - but the HD Branding and the already happy service quality from OOMA made me think this was a good decision - it was not - this is a DONT WASTE YOUR TIME phone.

    • Sound quality is clear and I do appreciate that.
    • I experience excellent voice quality, and enjoy all the features on the phone
    • However the sound quality of a recorded outgoing message is still horrible
    • When the HD2 speakerphone is turned on, the quality suffers a little from distortion in the amplification (louder sounds appear to overdrive the amplifier for the external speaker, or some part is vibrating inside the phone, possibly the external speaker itself).
    • cheap quality, short battery life...not recommended.
    • The HANDSET: HORRIBLE quality on speaker calls.
    • Sound quality is great.
    • The sound quality wasn't great - I was getting some feedback, choppiness, and the volume range wasn't wide enough
    • It works well, good sound quality, easy to use
    • Voice quality horrible.
    • The quality is worse than it is on my HD1, primarily because when the other party speaks it produces this sort of rattling effect in the speaker; the closest thing I can compare it to is listening to loud music on a stereo that is not meant to be played at a high volume
    • Sound quality is good the only disappointment is retrieving messages you have to duplicate hitting one to get messages makes no sense to me.
    • The only other thing is that for the speakerphone, if you max the volume, the speaker is not the best quality
    • So we wanted a phone with better voice quality and good usability
    • Here's what I dislike:• Sound quality is terrible

    • Great phone, quality is incredible.
    • Easy to set up, good voice quality.
    • It works fine in the HD2s... the sound quality in headsets is somewhat better than the HD2 handset's built-in speaker (whether it's the speakerphone speaker, or the ear-positioned speaker), but that's usually the case in my experience
    • Bad quality phone, horrible interface that makes it difficult to place a call
    • First the sound quality is poor

    • Good sound quality, decent battery life, UI not the best I've seen but workable
    • Sound quality bad
    • SOUND QUALITY: it got poor after not much use

    • I hate the terrible sound quality of cell phones and still much prefer landlines, especially when I spend so much time on them.
    • your Ooma Telo is in another room, the phone provides remote access to all of the features including voicemail and Do Not Disturb*You can use the "Instant Second Line" feature with this phone (or one of the older models). The bad:*The navigation buttons are really narrow and even smaller fingers like mine have trouble pressing them*The quality of the headset jack is TERRIBLE

    • My Panasonic cordless has far better voice quality than this phone.
    • I am having very poor sound quality and would like to return the units but no longer have the boxes or packaging
    • Some of the top features I like is the outstanding sound quality, the color display, being able to have a photograph of a contact in your address book be displayed on the phone's display when they call you, being able to conference call/bridge 2 calls together from the handset (without this handset this capability could only be done by pushing a softkey on the Ooma Telo itself), headset jack to use standard corded headsets, and the speaker phone on the handset.
    • For some reason my older Panasonic cordless model actually gave much better quality, although still not that great
    • The remaining units stink - half the time you answer a call and it drops (literally about half) - I have trouble picking up line 2 - can't seem to switch between line 1 and 2 - the one farthest away from the base frequently fails to ring even though it says it has a good signal - voice quality is sometimes excellent, sometimes degrades, and occasionally has a shrill
    • The sound quality is far better than my cell phone and just as clear as my former land-line phone
    • However if I put my Unidens on the Ooma Telo, the quality improves
    • Extremely poor handset quality - Voice and ergonomic
    • The sound quality on the handset is very clear and the volume can be adjusted to liking
    • The only problem for me was the very poor quality, poorly designed handset, the Ooma HD2 which I paid $36.31
    • Nice quality
    • Excellent sound quality, and ease of use with a wired headset ( I spend a lot of time on the phone while I enter notes into the computer. )
    • Also the sound quality is not great
    • Only buy this product if you want a really crappy phone that will die or produce horrible call quality.
    • Indeed, the quality of the sound is almost too good
    • Sound quality is great.
    • The sound quality is quite good, but I would like to be able to increase the earphone volume a little bit more, the speaker phone sound is clear and the level is very adequate.
    • Perfect sound quality
    • I am having very poor sound quality and would like to return the units but no longer have the boxes or packaging.
    • As well as the quality of the voice is worse than my old phones with the service from the cable company.

    • This thing is just poor quality and execution
    • Very poor quality.
    • Sound quality is very good
    • The number one problem was the sound quality, number two problem was the small handset and small buttons and found it very confusing and difficult to work out the different functions
    • The phone itself is sleek (if not quite so well fitted to the hand as the original) and the sound quality is fine
    • I like the features of this phone, but I do not like the call quality
    • If using an Ooma system for the first time and using this as your phone you may think that it's the Ooma system that has bad sound quality -- not true
    • Simple setup and great sound quality packed into this little device.
    • I used other brands in the past, has better connection and audio quality but the setup is more tedious and you do have to reconfigure whenever there is a lost of Internet connection..
    • Good quality.
    • Sound quality is good
    • cheap quality
    • I have to wonder if the call center folks place these between service calls because I find it hard to believe that this customer is the only one who CONSISTENTLY receives poor quality electronics.
    • -- The sound quality of the handset is terrible.

    • I have found that if you attach a headset, the advertised ‘superior quality’ is definitely there
    • Clear call quality, and I really appreciate the fact that it can be placed anywhere, not just next to the Ooma hub.
    • As well as the quality of the voice is worse than my old phones with the service from the cable company.

    • otherwise it would hit the garbage can as fast as you can say "goodby".
    • Works as it should.
    • In about 15-30 minutes, my contacts appeared on the HD2 handset, and they do work as they should
    • The call quality is just as good as with the original ooma handset - some others here have complained that the new-ish handset isn't really a quality call experience, but I believe this depends on where your telo device is in your home
    • The back is also scratched as if someone tried to reopen it after glueing it shut.
    • The phone looks good, feels good (as in size to hold in your hand while talking pervs)
    • Not ideal, but not as bad as I first thought.-The square pad in the middle which has directional buttons is extremely small, and it takes concentration to press the right button
