Ooma Telo Free Home Phone Service. Works with Amazon Echo and Smart Devices

    • My issue with Ooma is it really isn't free phone service
    • And, yes, it's a great phone too!
    • But in my rural area, sound quality was poor - tinny - with different good phones
    • I highly recommend Ooma as a home phone.
    • I bought it because I was tired of paying $50 a month to receive unwanted phone calls; scams, telemarketers, surveying takers.
    • Customer support is not as good as the phone or cable television companies.
    • Not really free phone
    • I highly recommend this IP Phone to anyone to anyone that is in the Market for one
    • I had my phone number ported to Ooma when I established the service.
    • Excellent product, great service, wonderful phone quality and clarity.
    • Best phone system I have ever had and saves me a ton of money.
    • Free phone, free long distance and great service
    • Only word of warning: if you live in an area where power outages are common, and you must have the phone working reliably with crisp communication, landlines are still your best bet (cell phones don't count as all carriers and brands still have pretty bad reception even after 30+ years of existence).
    • The app can easily control all the many unwanted calls and other disturbing repetitive phone calls from unwanted sources.
    • OOMA saves me tons of money and with crystal clear phone service.
    • Thus far very happy with new Ooma VOIP phone service, much cheaper than my old AT&T landline and sound quality is very good.
    • Edit: being skeptical of a 'free' phone, while i had kept up on the local taxes, state fees and 911 charge (all totaled less than $1.89), i also noticed the various 'fees' Ooma has were raised 3 times in the
    • The phone works well
    • Easy setup and works as expected, however limited in phone number selection and automatically getting calls from another township and telemarketers
    • There is absolutely no difference between the voice quality when compared to cable or "famous" phone companies
    • So, is free phone calls, you only pay taxes according to your state I believe
    • Great phone device
    • Awesome service and no more expensive phone bills from landline service!
    • I can get my original number of 20plus years ported and not have to have an expensive phone bill every month.
    • Best internet phone, hands down.
    • If you'd like a land line phone this is the way to go.
    • Excellent phone service, very easy setup.
    • Enjoy the programmable phone number feature which announces who is calling!!
    • Phone number-Additional charge to keep old phone number
    • What I like about it, too, is the app that lets you make free phone calls on your iPad from anywhere in the world to the USA.
    • Can get 2 phone numbers, even a separate number for a fax
    • Otherwise, provides clear phone conversation
    • Terrible phone reception even in Washington DC
    • Great device, easy to setup, solid phone service.
    • Received it in the mail...logged on to activate and then set it up....very easy....good quality sound on the phone, now we will see how fast I get my phone number ported.
    • If you want a reliable phone, Don't buy Ooma.
    • I've moved away from Magic Jack since they don't provide caller ID identification only the phone number display.
    • They have call forwarding options, ring options, voicemail to email, apps to make Ooma calls from your smart phone over wifi, and best of all excellent robo-call blocking!Switching to Ooma and using the community call blocking features stopped the harassing marketing and credit card scam type of calls and robo-calls
    • I wasn't freaked out when I sawthe $5.40 charge on my 'free phone' because I worked in Boeing telephony and know how this works.
    • Great phone service at the fraction of the traditional land line cost
    • Overall, this is a great and affordable phone service!
    • That is probably the best phone deal.
    • Best internet phone available
    • My 14 year old son would run his battery down on his phone, and if I needed to contact him when he was at home, there was no phone available
    • Crystal clear phone calls
    • It took about 15 minutes from the time I opened the box to having a working VOIP phone system
    • Ooma Telo Free Home Phone
    • Free from expensive phone service at last!
    • If you need free phone service in the USA and canada and I believe Mexico you can not go wrong.
    • Cheap phone service and works well
    • I don't get any more of those Annoying sales phone calls
    • The phone works flawlessly with fantastic clarity
    • This is the best and cheapest phone service around, though I still keep a landline for power outages.
    • Great phone service
    • Beware, if you choose Ooma, you are agreeing to poor phone number choices, bad customer service, etc
    • The best VoIP phone service you can get.
    • doesnt work scam phone service
    • But if you have a backup phone service like a reliable cell phone, this is not a problem.
    • As long as you have a good WiFi system in your house, this Phone is Great!
    • Excellent phone quality and service, with features like virtual 2nd line, call waiting, and blocking of unwanted robo-calls, etc
    • They blamed my phones, the ISP, cable lines, you name it
    • Cheap phone service and works well
    • Easy setup and great phone support....mine was supposed to be new but was "used" (still new in box) and was activated and would not allow me to set it up via their easy directions.
    • Never thought I would like an internet based phone, but this system works very well
    • Ooma is absolutely the BEST VOIP phone service available
    • Phone co was ripping me off for internet/phone svc when I never used the phone.
    • Works as well as their internet phone
    • I also put the Ooma message center on extra rings and set my preferred old message phone on fewer rings, so it picks up first
    • viop adapter to get back to free phone service.
    • The call quality is good, the setup is easy, customer support is good, and everything works just as well as TWC phone service did.
    • I have lost power due to a storm since installing the Ooma, and that does pose a problem in that it is a VOIP phone, so without power, the system does not work.
    • Save money and bring your phone service (and number) wherever you go that has internet service
    • Free phone service nationally.
    • Today, the standard phone is the cordless or similar, and those are very low REN, about a "point .1"..meaning you can have lots of modern phones with no concern.
    • Ive had ooma for 9 yrs, love it, free phone service at that time, saved me loads of money over the years , just upgraded with the new Telo
    • Have only used for a few weeks, but Ooma was very easy to set up, phone number ported in 5 days, and call quality is as good or better than Time Warner
    • The phones were the only disappointment, the range wasn't great, the battery life was terrible, they were just bad.
    • Ooma Telo supports 6 analog phones over existing wiring, two Ooma HD3 handsets, and an Ooma HD2 handset.
    • This is a great phone system and I have found Ooma's customer service to be outstanding.
    • Now when my phone rings I know the call is important!Thank you Ooma for a awesome VOIP phone service at a excellent price! One more thing, Ooma has superior customer service.
    • I haven't yet tried the contact picture capabilities but, as a basic phone, I am finding this will probably replace my landline phone service
    • I live in an area with limited internet service and Ooma Telo still provides great phone service
    • And, finally, all of our phones work like a champ on Ooma.
    • In summary, my Ooma provides high quality reliable phone service at a low cost
    • If you connect the device to your house phone wiring, the device can manage multiple phones, but it lacks the power to ring old-fashoined phones that use an electomagnetically-driven bell.
    • Hmmm, three times I repeated that my phone, my ooma phone, was not working!
    • A perfect phone replacement to keep your money from the "phone man" ; mom bell or the cable companies.
    • The phone service call quality is passable, not as good as a traditional phone, but almost as good as an average cell phone call
    • I did that, and customer rep (who for whatever reason misunderstood phone was not ringing, with Ooma speakers not working --
    • Old Western Electric phones suck up the power
    • There's a single RJ-15 phone connector, like the one that plugs into your wall phone jack.
    • It is a great phone service.
    • had health probs for 15yrs & needed reliable phone for
    • Phone number port took awhile, but Comcast always takes as long as allowed (ten days?).
    • The web interface is quite nice, and you can import your phone contacts from your smart phone..the call log is very nice.
    • Have an inexpensive wireless phone (about $40
    • You may be without usable phone service for a few days if you have your current number ported
    • The phone works but none of the features do.
    • Best of all, my new Ooma phone number truly is a new phone number, and I no longer get a dozen nuisance calls a day as I did with the used phone number AT&T issued me with their service (debt collector phone calls for the deadbeats who had the number before me).
    • For what I'd pay for 2 months of phone from a traditional provider, I've got what amounts to an almost free home phone for as long as the equipment and company last (here's hoping it's for some time!)Definitely worth the money in my opinion
    • Great inexpensive phone
    • Not sure if it's the ooma handset or service but at least half the time my children try to call me the phone doesn't work
    • Got a great phone number
    • Love love love it no more crazy phone bills
    • It does have very clear, clean phone calls.
    • Also the phones I bought separately, the volume control on the highest is so low its hard to know there is a call coming
    • I'm loving the Ooma phone.
    • Ooma is the best phone idea ever
    • Very good phone service.
    • Trouble Free Phone Service since 2010
    • This phone is AMAZING!!
    • I am having my original phone number ported and that is proving to be more of a hassle than I expected
    • Their service performers just as well as any phone company
    • Sure, you will save tons of money ($2711 in 6 years personally) over the years by getting FREE phone calls (you pay only the taxes ~$4.95/month), but your life is immeasurable financially to your family and friends.
    • Free Android app to receive calls and messages on smart phone at no extra cost
    • The phone seems to work fine but the cost is eating at me.
    • For now, this is a 4 star product which may become 5 stars if I get at least a year of clear, uninterrupted phone service.
    • If you fiddle with it and follow directions and internet prompts you will get decent phone service
    • Excellent!!!Dropped Phone Service From Cable Company Last Week
    • The problem is you need a good phone provider
    • Ported phone number over from Comcast and it took about a week
    • The response from the Customer Service Rep was "It is normal for toll free phone number
    • So I bought this Ooma Home Service thinking it was free phone calling from here on out
    • Excellent and clear phone service
    • I don't have Premier, but the phone is still worth the expense
    • Having had a Magic Jack with admittedly poor high speed Internet, my wife was sceptical that Ooma would provide clear phone calls without dropping syllables.
    • We opted not to use the advanced $10 per month fee which would have given us access to a master call blocking list & other features which would have been useful, but our Panasonic phones have the capability to block
    • People cannot believe I have free phone service for just FCC taxes each month.
    • Cordless phones are better with the Ooma.)It's easy to set up and get going with your new phone service
    • I requested the change (paid the 99 dollars for the premium package with the phone number transfer) and had to wait about 12 days until my number was transferred.
    • After a great amount of difficulty trying to work with people on the phone (at last after about 4 phone calls and working with my son got things working).
    • But that still leaves me with nice clear phone service for the price of the tax.
    • A great phone system that is easy to setup and easy to use.
    • Ooma is a great phone services, I have used it for several years, I am well pleased
    • The screen doesn't show a thing, we can't see the menu to figure out why the stupid phone wont ring.
    • The worst phone service you could have and billing just keeps on billing after you quit.
    • Very good VOIP phone system
    • This is the best phone setup you'll ever use
    • Between the purchase and the phone number fee we'll break even after 6 months and then the savings will start adding up!
    • Great inexpensive phone service.
    • And my nuisance phone calls are virtually gone.
    • When I signed up for Ooma, they offered me free phone number porting and a one-year subscription for $60
    • Nice and simple phone system
    • Worst phone system we have EVER HAD!!!!!!
    • Free phone service and really good voice quality
    • Followed the instructions to set up as directed in the package; Logged into the website and created an account, registered/activated my Ooma device, chose an available phone number from the list of numbers available for my area code, plugged in device and boom, phone service just like that
    • Great phone service, clear calls
    • Despite having a very fast internet connection 60+mps the phone calls where broken up on most calls
    • Call quality is very good, almost as good as a wired phone (when it was not buzzing due to poor connections in the boxes along the road).I could not be happier.
    • Love having a phone in the house in case of emergencies and for the kids.
    • When I signed up for Ooma, they offered me free phone number porting and a one-year subscription for $60
    • You would think that since this is a computer based phone system, that a 'soft phone' through the computer would be possible.
    • needed a quality inexpensive home phone...
    • So, first this WORKS!. Is it the best phone service ever,
    • Even if I wouldn't have used their phones (I like the Panasonic phones I had with my old land line), they were something that could have been sold off to offset the cost of the shift to the Telo.
    • I would recommend to anyone who wants a reliable wifi phone system and is cost conscience.
    • I purchased this unit to provide an affordable land phone in my shop
    • I'm regretting not porting to Google Voice for free phone service, but they don't offer 9-1-1 emergency service.
    • Love concept but OOMA does not work with our Alarm Company in NC (CPI)....CPI will not support OMMA as an IP Phone..... OOMA worked fine with Time Warner internet..... until I tried to test with CPI
    • This is a fantastic phone option.
    • This works for all my landline jacks and phones and my portable phone system.
    • If you're sick of dealing with crappy phone companies charging you to call long distance from your landline (seriously, who does that anymore?), then switching to VOIP is a good idea
    • Crystal clear phone conversations
    • JUST pay for taxes for unlimited phone calls.
    • Sounds like a normal phone free calls any where in the USA great overseas rates
    • It's the cheapest phone service around
    • they have also delivered an excellent phone service
    • Solution: downgrade it before your 30 day free trial is over to basic to avoid being charged an extra $10 for all the options- Basic service while it has caller ID it will only show the phone number (Names being displayed are pulled from data base for Premium service only)- Not reliable 100% for incoming FAX transmissions- Not able to use with ALARM SYSTEMS that use phone lines and employ the most popular transmission
    • I love my Ooma phone for use at home!
    • This is the best phone ever
    • Best phone service, and all I pay is California monthly tax of about $4
    • This product does what it says, and I love having free phone calling and independence from phone companies.
    • The same old unit is still providing the best Phone service I have ever had
    • For 8 years, we have had a Comcast bundle with pricey phone service
    • FAKE TECH, used misleading advertising, this item is not ip phone service, it is rather built to compete with phone fees of USA local telephone companies, not based on technology to make a call to transfer a call on internet FREE, ALL CALLS CHARGED, request your local USA PHONE NUMBER to change your actual phone company to their Ooma company phone company, this equipment is only for use in the United States with phone lines of US companies, which do not advertise at any of their ads on Amazon or Ooma web, there are customers around the world in Amazon.com, not just USA customer only, and they cheated to sell this as it works with any phone line, easy easy to set up said advertising
    • This is a great voip phone system with allot of extras.
    • We've used the Ooma now for about two months and absolutely love the idea of terrific clear phone service at pennies each month.
