Ooma Telo Free Home Phone Service (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

    • The unit works well, audio quality is great , was able to port my home number, and free calls within USA.
    • Ooma must have also set all calls to transfer to the backup number (my cell) since I have gotten a few calls on my cell from people saying they were calling our home number
    • since if you get a message, you can get it from any handset by dialing your home number.
    • I ported my home number to Ooma, it took a couple of weeks but was seamless
    • Got tired of paying ridiculous monthly fees for a home phone line we rarely ever use but couldn't easily get rid of (too many doctors, relatives, others have and use our home number)
    • The only thing I didn't like was the fee to transfer your home number to Ooma, it'd be nice if that was
    • After paying $40, my home number was ported in less than a week
    • Other than this one problem, and the high cost that Ooma charges for porting a home number ($44+ with taxes in CA), this is a great VOIP device.
    • I purchased Ooma Premier (which I recommend if you want to port an old #) because it's 50 dollars to port your home number and an extra 70 for the Premier package which gives you a lot of great options like a blocked caller list and a second phone #
    • Access - After porting our home number, we just plugged the Telo into a wall jack and the whole house shares
    • I especially like connecting the "home" number so that it rings my husband's number at the same time.
    • Was able to buy this device, pay to transfer my home number to it, and broke even in a matter of months
    • was able to port my Comcast home number without any problems.
    • The Ooma box is easy to setup and porting our old home number was quick and easy
    • A free service as ituses your existing cable service, and all national calls are as free as e-mail
    • Except to say there email F/U to every action and question has been great and complete.
