My advice is not waste your time and money on this worthless product.

I recommend this product for having a reliable home phone.

This product did not work for me with our HughesNet satellite internet system.

If you use internet anyway, and don't mind the upfront payment of the Telo, you should be able to cut your phone bill to a 4th probably, of what you pay now (we used to pay 30 dollars per month, vs 5.40 that we pay now in taxes with Ooma).Keep in mind that Magic Jack plus and Vonage has the same restrictions; you still need to pay taxes (altho Magic Jack Plus cost 89 dollars vs 150, and the taxes are about half of the Ooma; but on the bad side you have non existent customer service and a product that is a couple of levels inferior, so feel free to compare them and pick what fits your

I purchased the premier service which has very good features ,i especially like the call forwarding text service which my local cable phone service didnt offer.

There are some optional features available through the Ooma Premier service which is only $10 a month extra

Well I have OOMA and the price is great to have a home phone cheaper then ATT

It was easy to set up and I was also able to get codes to set up her mobile phone to direct to this ooma number instead of her mobile voice mail.

Some of the advanced features we like are receiving voice mail in e-mail, simultaneous ringing, if someone calls our ooma number we have it configured to also ring our cell phone

8-months (don't feel we can cancel our landline before that telephone number has been transferred to the Ooma phone)

Problem is the Ooma Unit has to be hard wired to my Router.....on the other side of the house.

At first I thought it was my wireless router and poor Wifi signals, but after doing some network speed tests, and trying a hard wired connection to my router, I figured out that it was my Ooma TeloAfter a lot of troubleshooting, I determined that the default upstream Quality-of-Service (QoS) setting on the Ooma Telo is set to 512 Kbps up.

I do not recommend the wireless add-on for the Telo, the entire system is much better when hard wired.

In the case of Centurylink, your land line number is your account number; when Ooma ports that number, Centurylink cancels both.

Why pay for phone service if you have broadband?I ported my land line number and have had no issues, only a monthly savings of $33 ($37 phone bill minus $4 ooma monthly taxes & regulatory fees)
