I attached my second Battery Tender on it to keep it topped off

Compatible with (and supplied with) the usual SAE "onboard" charging pigtails supplied with most maintainers like the Battery Tender, BatteryMINDer, CTEK and other brands

I have had many other chargers over the years from Battery Tender, CTEK, Genius and prefer this one so far.

If you have an AGM battery, this is better than a battery tender.

Bought this after my Battery Tender died and almost took my battery with it

I would have expected that from a $25 battery tender, not a $200 Optima charger on an Optima battery

Any other cheaper battery tender will do the same job

Using this has definitely improved run time, I do not have to worry about forgetting to unplug the charger and great battery tender for other toys

The clips that came with my Battery Tender are all metal.

I have several battery tenders and they do not compare to this charger.

Using the digital 400 on my optima yellow top 34/78 replaced a battery tender jr which worked well but wanted the extra peice of mind knowing the optima charger is made for my battery which I purchased in 2012

I placed the Battery Tender unit on the revived battery

Don't waste your time with the others, this was my second purchase of a battery tender

This is by far the best battery tender I have owned, including snap on, and all the others I have used

I also tried these on a battery tender and it would not put a charge to them

The cables are the same type as Battery Tender's so you can use their extension cords if you already have them

and I will continue to use as a battery tender

The charger worked as it should for the first couple of charges, but then all of a sudden it would get stuck in 'charging' mode indefinitely no matter how long the charger was left connected to various batteries, never advancing to maintenance mode on the LCD display.

Depressing as it is a sealed battery that shouldn’t vent and prior to now has never had any issues

After a couple failed battery charger purchases, the Optima performance maintainer works as it should
