I'm not gonna lie, I don't think I would leave it on overnight just because of other reviews, and I left the protective plastic on the LCD screen and never touched it because of the problems people had with it
-
Came with cracked alligator clamp (cheap plastic)
-
I like that it is compact, tells you what is going on with the battery while it is charging/maintaining, it is rigid plastic and can take a drop onto concrete from time to time.
-
But that went about as well as you might expect, with the glue not being strong enough and the plastic being too brittle.
-
In fact the plastic continued to crumble as I tried to repair it.
-
If you wish to put the charger on a wall a very durable plastic rack where the clamp connectors can be hung.

-
(A softer plastic insulation may be the reason for that impression.
-
Like I said, it has done what it has to do but the plastic is a bit cheap.
-
Very brittle plastic case
-
There is little hope for this 400 model, the plastic is far too brittle and thin to be glued or welded
-
That means I fully expect that the flimsy plastic mount, and possibly even the clamps and probes, may need to be replaced over the useful life of the charger.

Bad A$$.Love

The charger worked as it should for the first couple of charges, but then all of a sudden it would get stuck in 'charging' mode indefinitely no matter how long the charger was left connected to various batteries, never advancing to maintenance mode on the LCD display.
-
Depressing as it is a sealed battery that shouldn’t vent and prior to now has never had any issues
-
After a couple failed battery charger purchases, the Optima performance maintainer works as it should
-
But I actually read the manual for the first time and since that, I’ve recovered 2 of my battery’s that have been well dead for years
