The tiny, cheap model kits are very hard for them to manipulate, and larger model sets are wayyyy too expensive or hard to assemble.

Taking organic chem and this helps bring the molecules to life so to speak, having 3D models to help learn bond angles and conformation is very useful.

A good model set for chemistry, including college level

This is a great model kit - I haven't tried the link remover tool, but the bonds are easy to assemble/disassemble with fingernails but hold snugly when moving a molecule.
