Make sure you are ordering the right drive for your 360, tear it apart and get the dvd drive no. off of it

Great replacement drive

Ordering a new drive and getting a used/reconditioned drive is irritating...but at least it works and my son is happy.

I needed a new drive because my drive had had problems opening for the past couple years, getting stuck when the drive was empty

and the drive died - same "Open Tray" error as the one I replaced

Clearly a defective/returned drive that was re-packaged and shipped to me

What they don't tell you about switching out hard drives on an Xbox 360 is this exact model requires soldering to make it compatible with your Xbox.

Quite honestly, I didn't even know that these drives were even available as new, so I was actually a bit surprised to see it advertised as such.
