My wife loves toast and I enjoy baking bread

I find that the Oster produces crisper toast

We like the toaster but when using a single side it results in a much darker toast on one side

The best you can hope for is too dark on the bottom, too light on the top, and somewhere in the middle, the average is good toast

It does have settings to choose your preference of how dark your toast is cooked.

It makes consistent toast quickly with different breads, bagels and english muffins.

since i use it - i have great toasts and toasted waffles ( of course, you need to play with settings first )

It seems no matter whether I spend a lot or a little for a toaster, I still get uneven toasting, so I chose this one because it wasn't too expensive and it looks nice in my kitchen.

Instead of turning up the heat inside for darker toast, it stays the same heat but stays in longer.
