The first one, defender series, gave up after about a year and they replaced it for free with a commuter model, because they no longer carried the defender for that phone

So far so good not bulky as the defender series but has same protection and I have a glass screen protector and the case still fits in the phone.

However compared to the defender series it is slim

The Commuter is slimmer and not as clunky as the Defender series, but appears to be just as protective with the two-piece style.

I was a little nervous getting it because I used to have a Defender series other box on my previous phone and this case was not as big.

The defender series is thicker, but has its own screen protector that is incorporated into the design.
