I don't know why the gray/green model was cheaper than the standard black, but the price was right for me, and both of them are worth the cost, just in saving on phone insurance alone.

I would not recommend this model of otterbox at all

Filing the claim online is quick and just requires a little information such as model, serial number (hard to read) and a picture of the damaged case
