We had to touch the screen a lot harder to make the screen respond to our touch

so I'm not sure how sensitive the screen is without the cover

Hate the floppy screen.

I'm ok with everything, except the horrible screen protector fit.

Screen is well protected and the case is made well

Installed the temperd glass the otter box fits good and now the screen is easy to use again that screen protector provided with the otter box is pathetic

I have had otter boxes on the two previous touchscreen phones that I have had with no problems loved those cases this one is disappointingI ordered tempered glass that I will try with this case hopefully I can get rid of the cheap screen protector installed

Thinking about removing the protective screen layer being that it doesn't rest on the iPhone screen so you have to push down a bit too hard (in my opinion) which worries me about potentially cracking the screen.

After the case was put on the phone, the clear screen that protects the phone had a slight gap in it between the screen and the phone

The protector I purchased was a tech guard ballistic glass edge to edge, which is a really nice screen protector

Gives great protection and has a very good screen protector

As stated by other folks who have reviewed this item, there is a small space between the phone screen and the protective screen of the OtterBox.

However, the protective screen has a gap that is causing major annoyance for me

We are hard on phones, the Defender cases have saved our phones from numerous drops, without a dent or cracked screen (even the cases still looked good).

Now my iPhone has the protection of an Otterbox Defender and the usability of a perfect screen protector

Very durable case which protects that $150 screen from fracturing after a drop to the pavement

Biggest downside is that the protective screen cover does not rest against the screen

If you are an OtterBox user who had the iPhone 3G/3GS, you will remember the "oil slick" screen effect

As someone who has put on over 100+ Otterbox defenders at my job, this is the first one that has had such a poor screen protector

After she removed the clear plastic screen cover (2 minutes) and using some Goo-Gone where Otter had the screen adhered together it's now a perfect 'Defender' for my high dollar iPhone

Broke my 1st i6+ 😔 bought this one day before apple sent me a replacement and haven't cracked my screen since good solid case buttons are easy to find in the dark and best part is the port on the bottom is over sized so you can use aftermarket cables like

I would not recommend buying this unless you want a messed up screen on your hands.

The OtterBox protective screen does not make full contact with the phone screen

Almost no response and the case doesn't rest on the phone screen, I even tried a clear screen protector and still not doing the job

Screen isn't as touchy as it is when the cover is off!

only quibble that I have on this is that the attached screen protector with the case is not totally flat with the phone itself which is like what some other reviewers have mentioned as well but to me this is no big issue as the screen still seems to work out for me

Works great as protection but drawback is it makes it harder to type due to the protective screen being completely flush with the surface

Two things are totally wrong with this product: The clear screen protector does NOT fit snugly, so that there was space between it and the screen, which meant having to press down hard and multiple times

I have the protection of OtterBox and a great screen protector that has no annoying gaps and is very responsive

My screen is very loose and I feel as if I have to tap very hard on it for it to work

Sure, its clunky, the screen is a little wonky and hard to keep clean but these are the punches one has to roll with to keep a thousand dollar phone in working order

It was super hard to put on/get off and the screen didn't lay well on my iPhone 6 Plus.

Its also a plus doing this because if you decide to change cases, your screen will be protected at all times and zagg does cover lifetime warranty

Horrible screen cover

I received my case a week ago, it fits perfect screen seems to be just find

I had a survivor case and I tripped and it bent my phone cracking my screen also the cover broke in all places

Protect Your Screen from Scratches and Drops -

That's great, but the one thing that keeps this case from being a GREAT case is the gap between the protective screen and the iPhone screen

Edited (12/23/2014):I decided to remove the protective screen and replace with iPhone 6 Plus (5.5 inch ONLY) HD Clear Ballistic Glass Screen Protector, Tech

And to be clear: I removed a protective film from my device and carefully cleaned its screen with a microfiber cloth mere moments before placing it in the Defender

I removed the scratch protective screen and replaced it with a Tech-armor protective screen

Only flaw is that the screen protector does not get close enough to make a good screen contact

- I can't fit my finger in the hole for the "silent mode" switch, and the clear screen doesn't quite touch the glass which makes swiping difficult.

The top piece puts so much pressure on the phone that it screws the screen up and breaks it

I'd still have decent screen protection even after removing Otter's screen protector.

i basically had to punch the screen to tap one letter

I got my phone and put it in the Defender and then understood why she offered to removed Otter's clear screen cover...

The Otter Defender was near flawless in everyway but it totally robbed one of the beauty's of my new 6 Plus's wonderful sensitive touch screen.

I like this product because it protects my screen and the internal parts of my phone from being damaged if I drop the phone

Read a few other reviews that talked about a space between the protective screen and the touchscreen.

It sits slightly over the screen, destroys the sensitivity of the iPhone 6 Plus and makes a noise on pressing the screen

The end result is an awesome combination of outer protection, and a screen that doesn't feel of plastic

With the 6+, the screen doesn't feel loose or with gaps with this method

You have to press down on the protective screen to make contact with the phone screen

My recommendation if you do choose this Otterbox is to purchase a good screen protector that only covers screen, remove the old protector, not by cutting but just pushing it out, then remove glue with a glue remover, and in the end you will have paid slightly more
