Love the symmetry series

but I was very disappointed that it is not clear (it's frosted) despite the name "clear series" and the color listed is "clear."

He is use to the defender series of cases

So I was intrigued to see the new OtterBox Symmetry Clear Series design, which is more like the traditional Apple case in appearance, where the phone pops into it and is protected on the sides and back only.

Bought this as my previous choice for Otterbox, the defender series, has problems with the rubber peeling

I was skeptical of this case at first because it wasn't as thick and sturdy as the defender series where those otterboxes had two layers

It is not too thin but also is not overly thick like the defender series it.

I use the defender series which are rubber cases that are truly as close to indestructible as a case can get other than a waterproof case

My defender series case warped from the phone heating

Previous versions (the clear Symmetry series) tended to have the rubber stretch out on the side with the volume controls after a short amount of use.

Stick with the Defender Series.

If you are looking for more protection check out some other Otterbox cases like their Defender series or some of those Lifeproof cases.

Yes up, smaller than the defender series

Would recommend the Commuter series instead because it's cheaper and the hard plastic and soft rubber components are entirely separate, avoiding the issue where they come apart
