OXO Brew Classic Tea Kettle - Brushed Stainless Steel

    • When water boiled, it is easy to overflow and turn off gas stove
    • I am amazed how quickly the water boils - within a few (like 5-6) minutes the water is ready
    • Steam escapes from around the edges of the lid when the water boils
    • This kettle barely hisses when the water boils
    • But there is a fatal design flaw here - once the water boils and it whistles, you have to touch the lever on the spout to open and pour the water out, and it’s freaking hot
    • I was amazed how fast the water boiled.
    • Do not need to turn up the heat much to get water boiling.
    • My wife is on a tea kick lately and wanted that old school experience of hearing the kettle sing it’s song as the water boils within
    • And this is the first of my last 3 that truly stays manageable to pick up with an un-insulated hand after the water boils (cool - and the water boils super fast in this)

    • But at any rate, at long last I've found my water boiling pot!
    • The handle did get a bit hot after the water boiled
    • The water shoots out the spout and burn the $W%$@ out of my hand.
    • It no longer looks nearly as nice as when I first got
    • but this is an e extremely poor design for a kettle.
    • and I like it a lot first and foremost it’s easy to clean I
    • But, personally, i still prefer my electric kettle:) See my review on Salton kettle Salton GK1465 Cordless Electric Glass Kettle, 1.7 L, Clear
