PAC SNI-1/3.5 3.5-mm Ground Loop Noise Isolator Works with iPod/Zune/iRiver and Others

    • Would be a great product if they had better quality control.
    • As a bonus, the audio quality seemed to have improved on my setup
    • Sound quality is excellent and I can now jam out to my favorite music again.
    • That and the poor quality caused it to stop working after about year or so.
    • Good quality product!
    • vastly improved sound quality!!
    • I decided to give this product a try since the ground loop was quieter and when i plugged it in, the quality was clear and amazing
    • This magic little box COMPLETELY eliminated the feedback loop, and as far as I can tell, it did not degrade the quality of the sound one bit
    • This product improved sound quality and completely cleaned up audio
    • While my car doesn't have a top quality stereo system, its decent, and with the GLI in place I did not hear any appreciable difference in sound quality or volume.
    • Not only has the buzzing stopped, but the overall audio quality is much improved.
    • While the overall sound quality was very good, the constant background humming was very annoying.
    • I'll take a little hum every now and then over worse sound quality all the time.
    • Audio quality is excellent, and got rid of ground loop interference on my headphones
    • I tried using one of the FM transmitters, but it was unreliable and poor quality -- and if you were driving any kind of distance, you'd encounter a new radio station on the previously-open FM channel that you were using, so you had to re-tune the FM transmitter
    • It gets rid the whine, but im my experience, it degrades my music quality
    • Whatever the incompatibility is, this item smooths it over, and the signal quality is perfect now.
    • Poor build quality.
    • Superb sound quality (and I'd consider myself an audiophile).
    • So for us, this device was not to improve sound quality, but to break the feedback loop that disconnected the sound
    • Completely ruins the quality of the music
    • This simple device removed all the noise, and my sound quality is great.
    • Very nice sound quality coming out - and NO issues with volume loss that a few others mentioned, (I have a 2005 Mercedes C230).
    • I was previously using a Radio Shack ground loop isolator which took up twice as much space in my glove compartment than this unit and the sound quality is noticeably stronger and better
    • This item eliminated some interference from the other electrical devices I have in place, and restored crisp sound quality.
    • Without it, plugging my NookColor into my decent quality portable speakers created awful static noise
    • The audio quality is unaffected as far as I can tell
    • Unfortunately, while it did reduce (but not completely) the noise, it did reduce the bass quality and intensity as well as the overall sound quality
    • There is also an aux cable available that I am using for the Razr and that was producing really poor audio quality and a lot of buzz, whine and other interference
    • It is of good quality but made no difference in that application
    • very good quality, price & delivery, well done!
    • Audio quality is definitely not lost nor is volume changed in
    • It worked for a little but because of the poor build quality it fell apart after only a few uses.
    • I suspect there is less-than-good-quality workmanship to blame
    • I would recommend either getting a short mini-phono extension cable (good quality) or simply affixing it to the side of the center console with some double sided tape
    • but i'm always trying to improve my sound quality
    • very good quality
    • quality or volume did not suffer to the naked ear
    • Audio quality is unaffected, there was no loss in audio quality
    • So far it seems to be of very good quality, not fragile and looks like it could stand up to repeated plugging and unplugging as the connectors are very good
    • Sound quality is excellent and I can now jam out to my favorite music again.
    • But the sound quality is better than I'd hoped for, and I'll be ordering a whole passel of these for my remaining rooms
    • None of them delivered a good music quality, until I found this...
    • I decided it was better just to play the mp3 player on its battery and then charge it when I was not listening to it, rather than lose that much volume and sound quality
    • Sometimes the sound quality breaks up if the volume on my iPhone is turned up to max and is easily mitigated by reducing it to 90 or 80% of max.
    • This not only removes the buzz but improves the audio quality by a fair margin
    • After plugging in this ground loop isolator the horrible ground loop noise is gone and the great audio quality remains
    • Very nice sound quality coming out - and NO issues with volume loss that a few others mentioned, (I have a 2005 Mercedes C230).
    • What I don't like however, is it killing my audio quality
    • It really works, with good sound quality
    • The humm is gone and I am enjoying to nice sound of the system (which is of decent quality).
    • Almost zero sound quality loss and cut out all hissing and groundloop interferences.
    • very crappy quality 3.5mm connections, if the cables move even slightly the sound cuts out - don't buy this, better to buy a ground loop isolator with RCA connections.
    • What it is, is a sign of poor quality components, poor quality manufacturing, poor quality control, or some combination of these
    • I'm only giving it 4 out of 5 stars because the audio quality through the unit sounds a bit flat (missing highs and lows).
    • Gets rid of noise but also subtly degrades sound quality.
    • It also has a decent build quality (from a product that costs $10), and its also light
    • Sound quality is still good, and the high pitch whine is gone
    • However, it also REALLY lost a lot of volume, and the sound quality was a little bit worse.
    • So far I haven't noticed any degraded sound quality that other reviewers have mentioned
    • It really does improve sound quality!
    • I heard good things about this device but wasn't sure it would do much to improve sound quality in my car's audio through a cassette adapter
    • It took good quality audio with an engine whine and turned it into garbled audio at half the volume
    • BUT, your audio quality will suffer
    • BUT the quality of the product was sufficient.
    • It used to annoy me A
    • I still hear noise the same as if I didn't have it
    • I'd hazard a
    • Works as it should.
    • I suppose it's not fair to give this a one star because it may work as it is supposed to
    • It works as how it is supposed to.
    • The total length of the cable is a little short if you are plugging it in to the front of the receiver as it may hang down next to the radio
    • I bought this after doing some internet research, and it works exactly as it's supposed to - the buzzing is totally eliminated.
    • i know mini plug-rca L/R connection degrades sound a lot.
    • Other wise I can't hear it during normal use, I highly recommend this product of you need an in line filter for your audio input while you are trying to charge the device.
    • I started listening to audiobooks while driving, and that greatly reduced my boredom....except for that annoying hissing, static-y sound
