I found these rendered very nicely from the player onto my 50" Panasonic TV.I am familiar with Viera as my TV has it as well.

The only nit I have to pick is that is sometimes wants to switch the TV (Samsung Smart TV) to 3-D mode when starting up.
-
In my case I have a Samsung Smart TV, so if I need to change the volume, I have to grab another remote
-
I now have a smart tv w/o having to buy a new one
-
Perhaps they have not upgraded the firmware? One thing I could not test is the DMP-BDT230's 3-D capabilities, since my TV is not 3-D capable

Turns your TV into a Smart TV and lets you access so much more when you rely on "on air" television.
-
I SHOULD NOT have to support that device with ads like I do with free TV shows over the airwaves
-
We also have a Panasonic TV so the remote works for both, which is nice.

If you already have a Smart TV, most of the apps are redundant, but if you don't have an internet-connected TV you will really appreciate the network features on the DMP-BDT230

Buying a Miracast Dongle was looking like it was going to be about $50 itself, and seeing as I don't have a Blueray Player (yep, I'm the last to follow that trend) or a Smart TV, I figured I'd invest a little more and get something that could round out my connectivity options.(Just picked mine up from Costco for only $79.99 today)It's a good all around device

I love my Panasonic Plasma TV, but can't warm up to this player
