The phones are good, sound quality is good, my only objection is the cumbersome message handling, I'd just rather it being an answering machine that takes messages

I have excellent hearing but have to keep the phone on the loudest setting to hear conversations properly, not for the speaker phone, which is excellent but for the "talking in the ear."The biggest problem for me is the complicated instructions for accessing some features that should be much simpler to get to, most notably ,erase a single message on the answering machine.

To erase a single message you have to remember a series of non-intuitive steps or consult the manual each time.
