    • I feel like I should give the one con I can, and that is that the lens cap always feels pretty loose on the camera, like it might fall off and allow that lovely lens to be damaged at any moment
    • I'm not sure if this lens is as sharp as the Leica lens of the past
    • It took great pictures, but the auto focus wasn't always perfect, and it seemed like I always had the wrong lens on.
    • Nice lens, nice features but the camera stopped working properly upon the first use
    • Nice lens, nice features but the camera stopped working properly upon the first use
    • I purchased a separate Altura camera strap and two generic batteries, as well as a circular polarizer and lens cleaning kit.
    • I used a lens rag and some cleaner and fortunately the scratch or whatever it was rubbed out, but I still remember the feeling of thinking my lens was scratched and the panic mode that put me into
    • The Sony is very well designed and has incredible features as well as a much longer lens.
    • Picture quality is marginally better than a comparable fixed lens $300 camera
    • 400 mm for strong zoom from powerful lens but shots at the full 400mm can look average to poor when using the Auto mode
    • but mostly you exchanging longer zoom on Panasonic for much faster lens in Sony)I think FZ1000 is a great all around camera with emphasis on video, but it is a bit limiting for travel because its chunkier size.
    • The FZ1000 has a much faster lens, being able to capture motion in a sharp clear crisp photo
    • Many of the great classic photographers usedLeica lens.
    • To achieve all this in a $800 camera with a sharp and fairly fast 25-400 lens, a large 1" sensor, (by bridge camera standards) and the wide assortment of manual controls if so desired, is just amazing.
    • but the longer lens on the Panasonic makes it useful in more situations.
    • The colors produced are lifelike, the lens offers decent blurred backgrounds as well.
    • And combined with excellent lens and quite amazing stabilization technology, I can see how this FZ1000 continues to be rated as one of the BEST long zoom cameras.
    • I received a defective unit (zoom lens stopped working after an hour), and have had the replacement since December, 2015.
    • 1 or 2 stops higher); detachable lens (but the lens on it is pretty versatile); improved auto focus at further distances (it doesn't always focus right in on faces).
    • Great sensor, very good tele-range, fast between shot speed, excellent control and image manipulation, outlandishly good lens.
    • Not positive: The lens stop moving on the second day
    • Being new to this kind of hand cannon camera, after a month of use I decided to get a screw on UV filter to protect the large lens, which is something I never thought about with pocket-sized point-and-shoot cameras before.
    • Great sensor, very good tele-range, fast between shot speed, excellent control and image manipulation, outlandishly good lens.
    • I also want to mention that Nikon is making a similar lens focal length-wise, but be aware that this lens DOES NOT have a close up capability!
    • Again, it is due to the slow lens, so if I spent $1000 on a high-end lens, the a6000 would be superior over all, but who wants to compare it to the
    • I would call it a P&S that has a decent lens bolted onto a decent computer.
    • I carry a very small shoulder bag with some lens cleaner, extra battery and a remote shutter release
    • I suppose the best way to sum up my experience with the lens is that I didn't see any pictures in my testing where I thought the image quality was significantly impacted (negatively) by lens distortion or lack of sharpness
    • The lens works for 99% of the situations that I face
    • I used a lens rag and some cleaner and fortunately the scratch or whatever it was rubbed out, but I still remember the feeling of thinking my lens was scratched and the panic mode that put me into
    • The lens is not sharp at all.
    • It's incredible 25 to 400mm Leica lens (yes
    • So I got the FZ1000 - with the hopes that the large sensor super zoom could give me good image quality and have a wide enough lens range so that I never felt bad about not having an interchangeable lens camera
    • I would definatley recommend getting the clear protector lens, also on amazon here.
    • Great Bridge Camera wonderful handling and excellent zoom lens with 4K Video buy one whenever you can!
    • You could get one, but I found the UV filter to be perfect and it does protect the lens
    • I feel like I should give the one con I can, and that is that the lens cap always feels pretty loose on the camera, like it might fall off and allow that lovely lens to be damaged at any moment
    • zoom lens immensely improve the ability to take good pictures, because one can often get closeups of subjects that would be hard or impossible to get close to, and because one has much more flexibility in determining what to include and what to exclude from the picture
    • It took great pictures, but the auto focus wasn't always perfect, and it seemed like I always had the wrong lens on.
    • Now, I use the UV filter and if there are fingerprints on it, I clean the lens.
    • The closes camcorder is the Sony FDR-AX100 which has a slower lens, a shorter focal range, and costs over a thousand dollars more
    • Lens:-just not very sharp
    • The main advantages of this camera is the ability to shoot stellar video with a versatile zoom lens (25-400mm)
    • Well made, Nice look, very useful Superb Lens.
    • The long lens is crisp through the mid sections of the zoom, suffering a bit in the corners with chromatic aberration at wide angle and full telephoto
    • Panasonic wanted both the money and the camera before providing me with any information beyond what I already knew - I had purchased a camera with a defective lens

    • Great zoom ratio, super sharp lens, all the bells and whistles yet full manual control if desired.
    • The FZ1K is what we ultimately needed the most - the strongest lens range, highest video resolution in which we can extract large-enough images, and easy enough to not overwhelm us in the trenches
    • f2.8-4.0 zoom lens in a relatively compact body for $900 seems too good to be true
    • It feels comfortable on my hands and though the zoom lens is a little slow the quality is quite nice
    • 1 or 2 stops higher); detachable lens (but the lens on it is pretty versatile); improved auto focus at further distances (it doesn't always focus right in on faces).
    • I do like the LX100 in that it has a brighter lens, where the FZ1000 is dim or black in very low light
    • Even in instances where bokeh was similar, shading in the blurred areas was blown out on the 300’s shots, but not the 1000’s
