Who hasn't liked a photo with a sharp picture of a flower with a green blur behind it

I do recommend this camera, but think also the LX100 would also be essential if you do not need the very long zoom, want outstanding photo quality, do not need an external microphone, and shoot in very low light where f1.7 comes in handy

It really does take fantastic photos

The full automatic mode also takes great photos without taking the time to adjust all the settings for each different type of photo that you want

The FZ1000 camera is heavier and requires two hands to steady it when zoomed....even with the built-in 5 point image stabilization it was quite hard to get a clear/sharp photo at near/full zoom with FZ1000 camera...while the same task was quite easy accomplished with the FZ200 (at a comparable zoom) and the FZ200 had less noise on all zoomed images.

Many cameras cannot take photos during video recording, and Sony has omitted that feature going forward

It takes great detailed photos and does really well in low light

In low light it takes very clear photos

If other factors like low light capability, accurate automatic white balance, crisp still photos, great sound and solid build quality are important, there are better choices available

The FZ1000 has a much faster lens, being able to capture motion in a sharp clear crisp photo

Don't get me wrong, the Nikon with the kit lens and a prime 1.8 can take amazing photos!

The auto focus on this camera is absolutely speedy fast!!The zoom is rather short by today's standards with digital bridge cameras, but the good photo qualities should make up for some of the zoom lens size shortfall

This takes such amazing photos, there is a learning curve but you can not go wrong for the price and quality of the photos and videos that the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 takes

Video is definitely my first priority but having the ability to shoot decent photos in a wide range of conditions with the same camera I use for video is a huge plus for me

I also knew my iPhone 6 plus only had a fixed 8mp camera that can't zoom or take good photos in dark areas

Takes pretty good photos and video so far

ISO 3200 photos are very good and ISO 6400 photos look acceptable as well.

Just used it for graduation and got dozens of sharp photos of every moment of the subject receiving diploma

I am loving my decision to drop down to a bridge camera so far, as the FZ1000 can take just as amazing photos.

And I don't think a rank amateur will be able to take advantage of all it's features, even though they will get great photos on the automatic settings and preset scene settings

Dont expect to take great photos right out of the box, WB is not correct in auto, lcd is not accurate , light is blown out most of the time,however, it has all the corrections on camera,it is lightening fast,very sharp, it's a swiss army knife with a 25-400 lens

I have also signed up for a Camera Class not to learn the camera so much but to get better photos when the lighting is not ideal.

I mostly need a camera that is versatile and not heavy and takes good photos and videos for my mountain wanderings.

1.7X teleconverter with total zoom at 3808mm, and the photos look fantastic!

Also, the photos come out too soft, not to say out of focus, unless you change the sharpening controls.
