    • This is a great video camera
    • Should one wish to have the led video light and flash in the new set of accessories for this camera as a combined unit all
    • video-recording• Fast auto-focus• Big and bright LCD screen that flips out and rotates• Creative Video Mode (full control over the aperture, the exposure time and the ISO-sensitivity, even during the video-recording)• MIC socket for an external microphone• REMOTE socket for an external shutter remote control• Wi-Fi connectivity• Two shutters: mechanical and electronic (with three settings: AUTO, MSHTR, ESHTR)• Multiple exposures on one picture• Recording still pictures while recording video• Two color spaces available: sRGB and
    • well produces beautiful video!13
    • I think this type of camera in design terms is the way things are going to develop, and the video and pictures it produces are very good, up to
    • To top it all off, it shot 4k and videos 10 mins longer.
    • I believe Panasonic engineers have swerved away from the idea that these type cameras are ar their core first point and shoot and a camera shoot firstly take excellent stills and secondarily videos, and not the other way around
    • This makes it unusable for primary sound camera in multi-cam shoots.- no bluetooth audio mic option like the Sony AX-100- videos are split into 4GB chunks [OK for Multicam, but pain in the butt for media management]- INTERNAL battery and BOTTOM mounted [no hi-
    • I'm sure you've seen all the reviews about how great the video is.
    • It takes quite a long time to upload events, however once completed, the videos are amazing
    • Amazon Prime is the only way to go to get a camera like this and the video is even more amazing.
    • How many 6TB hard drives do you need to have a good video collection?
    • and it takes great photos & videos
    • great quality photos and video for the money
    • Yet should one wish to have the led video light and flash in the new combined model which costs less than buying them as separates for this model fz1000k camera , one may find themselves better off skipping the fz1000k and upping the camera model to the GH4 which allows use of the combined new DMW-FL580L
    • Best camera/video camera we have ever owned.
    • The video looks dramatically better than what I was getting from the FZ200
    • The main attraction with this camera is the 4K video
    • It shoots a good quality 30fps 4k video, with good colors and it's possible to extract nice stills from it
    • My videos on my Intel 5 microprocessor is too slow and the video is jerky.
    • Understand this is clearly heavier and larger, but it's still comfortable to hold, has the terrific Leica lens and shoots great, great video
    • This is an excelent camera, It has a very good video mode.
    • It shoots adequate video but the stills are very limited
    • This new largie Panasonic is the jack-of-all-trades; lighter than a DSLR, very good zoom as in a few older compact super-zooms (like the HX9V--still own that one but is very slow), takes very good-excellent stills, excellent video quality even in low light, great performance, good/familiar plastic body quality (mainly why it is cheaper than Sony's RX10), good-not-great f2.8 aperture, and the ability to record great sound with internal microphones as well as external one
    • f2.8- f4 (use manual f4 for video to get constant aperture throughout the range)Other Cons:-no way to access the battery/sd card compartment once on a tripod (even if you don't use the tripod plate)-louder than usual in-camera noise
    • The HDMI output is disabled while recording video
    • So, as i new, Sony AX-100 definitely trumps this for stable video footage and LONG shoots... but this is great to have in bag for second angle.
    • Looks like 4K is still on the way and you can not expect good quality video from low cost camera
    • Takes pretty good photos and video so far
    • In my experience, one can zoom up to about 150% with reasonable final video quality
    • The camera 4K video with slow motion video which is sort of cool.
    • By about 200%, the video starts to break up.
    • I have been told that the ISO is completely controllable in the Creative Video Mode
    • Honestly, Raw, change this, fix that, no.. I wanted something I can point, zoom, get up close, that takes a good picture or video
    • Yes, it becomes obvious at 400mm and almost night conditions indoors, but man the video is clear, with almost no noise
    • Takes great 4K video for the price, big sensor, fast accurate focus, and worth every penny.
    • Being a first time parent this camera captures beautiful pictures and 1080p video.
    • no Extended ISO option in 4K mode-120fps slow motion mode is completely automatic except for exposure compensation-the manual lens ring sometimes is not very responsive in focus mode-in Play mode, going though videos and photos sometimes can be very slow and seem almost unresponsive (if you have many 4K videos on the card)-I had to buy lens cap string separately-no internal memory-1 battery charge will not last full day (about 2-5 hours of constant use). There are much-much more PRO's
    • Great videos on 4K 30fps.
    • The video is exceptional
    • I can "zoom" in to 150% or so with very good quality video and sharpness.
    • I love the video this makes, and frankly short of shooting a motion picture or high end TV show, it's all you'll ever need.
    • Also surprising were "jumpy" 4K videos
    • I mostly need a camera that is versatile and not heavy and takes good photos and videos for my mountain wanderings.
    • The zoom is controlled electronically, and goes in steps, making it impossible to do a smooth video zoom, and also making it impossible to control the zoom speed (too fast for most video purposes, and slow for still photography).
    • I had it all in one hand! Some of the events, like the “first dance” came after dark, yet I got truly good video and stills with the 4.0 aperture and 6400 ISO.
    • The main advantages of this camera is the ability to shoot stellar video with a versatile zoom lens (25-400mm)
    • I had no problem editing 4K videos in Vegas, but the VLC player has trouble playing 4K video smoothly without stuttering on all my computers (however microsoft media player works fine)
    • Great video and
    • Mainly, I am not too pleased that Panasonic decided to include only 4K in Creative Video Mode
    • There is nothing else out there that can shoot 4k and 120FPS 1080P for this price range, plus you get very nice video features and a nice long lens
    • They will not allow you to record at 4K data level with XAVC codec, but you can still record beautiful 1080p AVCHD video which is much better than terminating all video recording altogether as when no extra cards are present.
    • limited videos on 1 SDCARD to 30mins, even if you have a 128GB stick etc.2
    • cards will record perfectly magnificent 4K video with this FZ1000 camera.
    • Used the FZ1000 extensively leading up to the trip and was Very Happy with the photos, and the Video, and Especially the overall "performance" of the camera
