PANASONIC LUMIX G LENS, 25MM, F1.7 ASPH., MIRRORLESS MICRO FOUR THIRDS, H-H025K (USA BLACK)

    • I love this lens because it takes clear focused photos even at 200mm hand held and at my age that is wonderful
    • Overall pros:--Good sharpness--Little distortion--Excellent focus speed and very quiet
    • The 25mm f1.7 is the fastest focusing prime lens made for the micro 4/3 system.
    • Easy focusing, light weight, and a satisfactory look on the body
    • OIS works very well, focusing is fast and almost silent
    • It's a pleasant surprise after using the 20mm pancake lens as it is fairly noisy when focusing (though a fabulous lens otherwise)
    • Manual focusing is easy and pleasant, but I would prefer faster AF performance
    • Manual focusing is easy and pleasant, but I would prefer faster AF performance
    • Fast focus and great semi macro closeups
    • 1.7 is the most buttery smooth aperture to use, not to mention the manual focus ring is the smoothest focus ring I’ve ever used
    • very satisfied great lens fast focus very sharp
    • I've even gotten handheld video with extremely low shakiness.-Really cool circles of confusion bokeh when zoomed in more (around 150-200mm) for a professional shallow focus look
    • The focus is fast and silent and it is small and light
    • But if you have one of the Olympus cameras named above and have noticed that there are very few lenses that these cameras' fast focusing can take advantage of, don't worry, this lens is one that makes the most of Olympus's claimed "world's fastest focus".
    • quality- Fast focus stills and movie modes- Very good image stabilization even at full
    • the focus and blur is amazing
    • Good fast, sharp, auto focus 50 mm lens.
    • Fast Focus
    • Amazing optical quality, nice bokeh, fast focusing, fast aperture, light and cheap
    • Fast focusing
    • Silent and quick focusing especially with firmware 3 - the latest update you cant go wrong with this.
    • It brings the world up nice and close, the focusing is sharp and the colors are true
    • Very soft corners and focus take forever in clutch moments like action
    • Sharp, light, focuses fast
    • Overall pros:--Good sharpness--Little distortion--Excellent focus speed and very quiet
    • It is conveniently small, focuses fast and does a pretty good job focusing in low light situations
    • Very preliminary impressions, the lens appears sharp and with decent focus speed.
    • And this was my third lens and I am extremely happy with the quality and the fast auto focus it has in 1080p
    • Unfortunately, even if you are using manual focus, I found the focus-by-wire system used on Panasonic micro four third lens to be quite frustrating, as it is quite easy to slip in and out of focus at the slightest touch, and when you are zoomed in and trying to focus, you really don't get a feel of whether you are moving to the right focus range.
    • But then I saw some references to updated versions of the 45-200 that fixed what amounted to a software problem that resulted in inaccurate focussing at some parts of the lens's zoom range
    • It's sharp enough for me, only minor gripe is the slow focusing
    • The focusing is fast and the pictures are very sharp.
    • Several people have mentioned (on other websites) that this lens can be prone to focusing issues (back focusing/front focusing) and I can confirm this
    • Poor video focusing.
    • Given the price, the quality of the image is very good, and focusing is amazingly quiet (this is a concern if you are planning to shoot videos)
    • Fast focus
    • I have yet to determine whether the soft focus is due to problems with the lens or the autofocus
    • I did find that focus was slow at times and hunted a little when at 150 - 200 mm.
    • Focus is fast and I don't pick up on any focusing noise when in video mode
    • When it's wide open at f1.7, it is so, so easy to lock down focus on your subject and blur out EVERYTHING else
    • (the manual focus on these lenses seems difficult to use), with my use of the autofocus, with my choice of settings (the camera offers many options which I have not yet fully explored), whether the image stabilization is not giving me as much extra leeway on the shutter speed as I hoped, or whether this is just a problem inherent with most inexpensive zoom lenses
    • It's sharp enough for me, only minor gripe is the slow focusing
    • Given its slow f/4 maximum aperture at the wide end and slower f/5.6 racked out, the ability to use some slow shutter speeds and still get sharp images in low light is a blessing
