I really can't recommend this lens enough if your goal is to get great portraiture results, indoor and out, I think you'll love it.

I've had some great results but not being particularly fast, they have their limits.

It is limited in all the ways you might expect for a 12-60mm, but honestly achieves very good results despite that.

They are clear, and I have taken lots of long-range shots with good results.

Subject to these limitations, the lens is certainly capable of good results and as everyone else has commented, it is very light and compact, which are big advantages.

Pricier lenses in this range can be expected to deliver virtually ca-free results on today's Panasonic and Olympus cameras, no doubt with yet greater sharpness and slightly higher definition

If you use the Silkypix software included with the GF1, when you go to "develop" the raw image move the unsharp mask percentage to about 300% and the radius to 2.0 or so, save to jpg and see how you like the result versus an unmanipulated jpg.
