However, I've found that I've had consistently poor results with the OIS beyond 2 stops.
-
I really can't recommend this lens enough if your goal is to get great portraiture results, indoor and out, I think you'll love it.
-
I've had some great results but not being particularly fast, they have their limits.
-
It is limited in all the ways you might expect for a 12-60mm, but honestly achieves very good results despite that.
-
They are clear, and I have taken lots of long-range shots with good results.
-
Subject to these limitations, the lens is certainly capable of good results and as everyone else has commented, it is very light and compact, which are big advantages.
-
Pricier lenses in this range can be expected to deliver virtually ca-free results on today's Panasonic and Olympus cameras, no doubt with yet greater sharpness and slightly higher definition
-
Really nice sharp lens that is small and pocketable, and produces excellent results.
-
Again the results were amazing
-
Of course, don't expect spectacular results at 200mm
-
I felt like, overall I got pretty good results with this.
-
I can use this for nearly everything, and get very nice results
-
I get very sharp results throughout the zoom range, stopped down to f/5.6 or f/8.
-
If you use the Silkypix software included with the GF1, when you go to "develop" the raw image move the unsharp mask percentage to about 300% and the radius to 2.0 or so, save to jpg and see how you like the result versus an unmanipulated jpg.
-
Bought used one, gives nice results but it is loose
-
I finally got some nice moon shots, and long distance scenic shots with very good results.
-
My previous 'L' Canon lens (70-200) was a beautiful piece of engineering, but I had difficulty hand holding it and sharp results were discouringingly infrequent
-
max zoom (400mm equivalent) with 1/30 shutter with tack sharp results.
-
Was able to hand-hold this lens using a pod bean-bag support from Adorama and fast shutter speed to get sharp results every time
-
I get beautiful results from this lens.
-
I have tried the lens in all kind of different conditions always with very satisfactory results
-
Used the new lense right away and got fabulous results
-
Great results, however! This lens even seems to be a slightly better build quality than the kit lens, as well - it zooms a little smoother with less scratchy plastic noise that the kit lens has a little bit of.
-
Best results are between f/2 and f/8, best balance between center and edge sharpness is
-
Anyone not getting great results with this lens is doing something wrong
-
So far the results are great
