PANASONIC LUMIX G VARIO LENS, 45-150MM, F4.0-5.6 ASPH., MIRRORLESS MICRO FOUR THIRDS, MEGA OPTICAL I.S., H-FS45150AK (USA BLACK)

    • Superb images and excellent bokeh
    • If you don't get superb sharp images from this lens across the board you are flat out doing something wrong or your gear is malfunctioning
    • Even on closer shots it's a struggle to isolate a crisp image
    • quality- Fast focus stills and movie modes- Very good image stabilization even at full
    • If the Canon lens is stopped down a little, it has a better image.
    • Most of the unacceptable image are result of high ISO (more than 800), using OIS during panning and low shutter speed (In my opinion, setting it to 1/500sec at Shutter priority for this lens is safe enough for most situations)6.
    • Captures beautiful crisp images
    • Outstanding images
    • Disappointing image quality.
    • Clear and crisp images at all focal lengths.thanks,Cameron
    • Poor contrast, the images look dull and flat.
    • The image stabilizer works great and is useful for those handheld shots at 200mm.
    • This lens has provided some really good images and to be honest I have to take some of the responsibility for some of the poorer images I've gotten.
    • Super sharp image and good in all types of light
    • The images are crisp and clear with no peripheral distortion
    • I know how good images can be
    • Regarding the 45-200 zoom lens in particular: at full zoom, the images are soft
    • Super Sharp images.
    • A fixed lens like this one works perfectly with that concept, by reducing the size further, and still producing great, crisp images
    • Both have excellent image quality.
    • , it is sharp images and auto focus is fast.
    • The image looks much sharper, and the bokeh you can achieve is really great
    • I found it friendly, quick to focus, pocketable, great images
    • It has excellent image quality, sharp, fast, nice bokeh etc
    • I took some fine photos of strdavarius violins right off--beautiful, shimmering images.
    • I took some fine photos of strdavarius violins right off--beautiful, shimmering images.
    • I like it but images seem a little soft on the long end of the range, even on a tripod, but I have done no rigorous testing
    • Great image quality but my lens hood fell off when hiking through tall weeds
    • The lens focuses quickly and images are very sharp considering the cost.
    • Prior to the release of the lens there was an online review which indicated that the lens was soft, but I see no softness, in fact the images I've been getting with it are all quite sharp.
    • This lens has provided some really good images and to be honest I have to take some of the responsibility for some of the poorer images I've gotten.
    • Still, the image looks far superior to the kit lens at the same focal length, and with this being such a fast lens, it's definitely going to be mounted on my camera for the majority of the time.
    • Well built, with image stabilization that works pretty well.
    • Even on closer shots it's a struggle to isolate a crisp image
    • Whether your priority is image quality, video capability, weight, versatility, etc.—if you could spend the entire day on it without irritation, you’re golden
    • The lens can produce nice, sharp images, even on the 200mm end, but you need to really practice shooting with it to raise your "hit rate
    • I'd shot birds, scenery, candid and sports (ICE hockey) and find the image to be sharp
    • What's not so typical is the superb image quality, great stabilization, and quality build
    • To top off the attraction it is made by Leica and the exquisite fit and finish really shows, not to mention sharp high resolution images.
    • This has not been verified by Panasonic, but many owners of new or updated copies of the lens are routinely getting sharper images at 200mm than the early test reports would indicate, so it seems to be the best guess at the moment
    • Pros-Fantastic cost efficiency-Great optical quality; images in focus turn out very sharp and clear-Size; it is pretty small for the focal range-Weight; it isn't heavy-Bokeh; dreamy and beautiful, particularly at
    • The zoom works smoothly and the images are crystal clear (as you would expect).
    • The zoom works smoothly and the images are crystal clear (as you would expect).
    • It focuses fast and gives a pleasantly sharp image
    • Some reviewers have complained about soft images at certain focal lengths, and if that was true, I figured I'd better bite the bullet and splurge on the newer 45-175, which has been getting excellent reviews and is a good deal more compact to boot
    • I used it to take some handheld shots of a burrowing owl and got some sharp images
    • Given its slow f/4 maximum aperture at the wide end and slower f/5.6 racked out, the ability to use some slow shutter speeds and still get sharp images in low light is a blessing
    • Produces great images and works across the entire zoom range
    • I have been able to get nice sharp images handheld when in good light and it is a nice size and weight to carry as an extra lens.
    • It's very practical, offers great value and great image quality.
    • Image is not as sharp as the prime 20mm F1.7 or the 14-45mm F3.5-5.6 objectives, but good enough for an amateur like me
    • It's a compact lens that is light weight and captures great images in good lighting
    • I'd highly recommend it, especially for those folks willing to use a monopod or practice their handholding skills to ensure stable images.
    • The image isn't bad but the lens is too slow and it breathes quite noticeably
    • It's pretty sharp and the images are lovely with some unexpected micro contrasting (Like a Leica)
    • However, I do not feel that the pictures taken with it are quite as sharp as I had hoped.
    • My only real complaint with it is that the photos it takes are not as crisp and amazing as with the other lenses I have
    • Not near as sharp as I had hoped.
    • With a table table tripod (709B for example), this 45/200 mm lens and a GF1 - one easily put together a great, compact kit for shooting excellent video - as well as for taking pretty decent photos.
    • I was not expecting the shots to be as sharp and beautiful as they are... what a pleasant surprise
    • It has power optical image stabilization (O.I.S.), but there is no switch to turn it off, as there is on the more expensive 12-35 G lens
