All in all this is a good sharp lens at reasonable price directly from Amazon.
However, the price and availability of this item was too hard to resist, and so it was on my camera (a GF1) when i visited Lake Woodruff Nat'l Wildlife Refuge in Fl
There's not many zoom lenses that is supported for the micro four-thirds format, the price was good, and I heard good things about this lens, so I grabbed it
My impression is they don't have any staff, so they quote ridiculous prices because they can't perform simple repairs

It's a compact lens that is light weight and captures great images in good lighting
but you'll love not having to worry about having the right lens on the camera - at least while outside in good light.-------------- end update -Got this in a bundle with the GX85 for our trip overseas
Another time I put it on a GH2 and shot head shots at a party by dim candle light at ISO 10,000
For slower shutter speeds and low light, will need a mono or tripod
I have been able to get nice sharp images handheld when in good light and it is a nice size and weight to carry as an extra lens.

On a GX85, during the day with good lighting, at f/5.6-f/8, I find the 12-60mm to be nearly indistinguishable from my nice primes, whereas most of the budget zooms lost a little bit of something in my eyes
Image is not as sharp as the prime 20mm F1.7 or the 14-45mm F3.5-5.6 objectives, but good enough for an amateur like me
Again I'm comparing to the faster 20mm lens on the same camera, but I can tell the difference
I bought a Panasonic GF-2 and got the extremely popular 20mm lens
Wonderfully useful range, if I only take one lens, this is often my choice, though the 14-45mm is pretty handy as well.

It's sharp enough for me, only minor gripe is the slow focusing
But if you have one of the Olympus cameras named above and have noticed that there are very few lenses that these cameras' fast focusing can take advantage of, don't worry, this lens is one that makes the most of Olympus's claimed "world's fastest focus".
Focus is fast and I don't pick up on any focusing noise when in video mode

And this was my third lens and I am extremely happy with the quality and the fast auto focus it has in 1080p

That said, it's light enough that you absolutely can handhold and shoot even at relatively slow shutter speeds
The images speak for themselves, but I'd say the combination of fast shutter speed and OIS dealt with my so-so camera handling technique admirably.
I always turn off the IS in the body and use the lens, getting back even 2 additional stops with the slower shutter speed
Given its slow f/4 maximum aperture at the wide end and slower f/5.6 racked out, the ability to use some slow shutter speeds and still get sharp images in low light is a blessing
For slower shutter speeds and low light, will need a mono or tripod
