I primarily use 4K to give me flexibility to frame/crop during editing, or to setup a false "2 camera" shooting setup, where I use the single GH4 camera but crop in the edit to give me a 2-shot or single shots of either subject (in 2 subject shooting situations).The color controls are very easy to manage, and the micro four-thirds (m43) format gives me HUGE flexibility with lenses

Working in concert with the focus peaking makes manual shooting like I prefer top notch.

I am also into photography, and have shot with Nikons and Canons, but have always preferred Panasonic for video (No record length limit is critical for events).

I work with TV stations in Ireland and the UK and it exceeds the standards they require for broadcast straight out of the box (50mbps 4:2:0 8bit) although some channels require a 50mbps 4:2:2 10 bit which can be used through and external recorder from the GH4.Battery life is absolutely amazing when shooting video

It doesn't break down, nor have writing issues, overheating or odd glitches (that apparently other, more expensive cameras have)+ Shoot, and go

You also have audio controls, focus peaking, zebras, many different color profiles, just about everything I need make shooting on this camera feel more like a video camera.

The autofocus is snappy, the continuous shooting is ludicrously fast, and the controls are simple to navigate
